Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened a meeting today to discuss the ongoing situation in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoK) as the negotiations between the protesters and the state government ended in deadlock. The first set of protests was taken out by the Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee which announced a series of “shutter-down and wheel-jam” strikes because the Pakistani government did not comply with an agreement between the two in February.
