I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but she doesn’t deserve the adorations. It was pre-recorded in a studio, pitch corrected and auto-tuned then stitched together from several takes. She just lip synced to a digitally changed recording of her own voice.
It’s important people know this, especially young singers who are comparing their voice de to hers.

It was the most meaningful Olympics I've ever seen! Everything about it had a reason.
Truly. Everything from the choice of venues, torch relay, artistic segments, and performance had a story to tell. Sadly, a strong minority of the world was unable to see that and chose to focus their attention towards 2-3 drag artists at the opening.

Whoever thought of a rendition of that specific song by that specific artist deserves a raise. "My Way" a.k.a. "Comme d'habitude" is the perfect song to build bridges between Paris and Los Angeles, just like Yseult who made her debut in the Billboard Hot 100 with her last single. Also it's a nod to how France as a country tackled the whole Olympics thing, with immeasurable passion, candor, resilience and talent. The French did it their way.
My only regret would be the sh***y weather during the opening ceremony. Had it been milder, the image would have looked wayyy better. Still proud of my country though.

I feel bad that the crowd was leaving the stadium before this final performance, the event organizers didn’t set this up right. They should have announced that there would be a Grand Finale. Such a breathtaking performance.

Incredible voice and interpretation. Could have listened to a 20 minute version of this. The ending was her letting rip, absolutely transcendent, the lead up was like velvet caramel soothing the soul. ❤
To be honest, the vocals just before the chorus of the first verse of this song gave me goosebumps and moved me more than the most exciting part at the end of the song.
