I too have fond memories of the Plymouth. She spent some time in Fort Lauderdale a year or so after the Falklands and we Sea Cadets got to spend the day aboard her "patrolling" off the coast of Florida. If memory serves, each crewman had his own mug, so when chow came, we used the cups of those who were ashore, cleaned them and put them back!
Meal times? Afternoon watchmen to lunch at 11.30. Non-watchkeepers at 12.00 Forenoon watchkeepers to lunch at 12.30. It worked when I was in the mob during these years....

She wasn't a real ship until ten years later, when she had a Wasp helicopter and I joined as her first real aircrewman
