Still got the gretzky and Skywalker? Wow, huge money on those. Nice going
I wish, sold them before they blew up. I have 2 more Luke's at PSA now for about 5 months now
Wow that Gretzky is about 2 to 3k now
😭😭😭😭 dont remind me
I wouldn’t say soft corners are “flawless”
on which card
Addicted to Profit George Brett, you can see the white spots on the corners.
well the Brett I never expected a 10, i was hoping for a 9, but i was expecting an 8
Am so excited to meet you in next VidSummit 2020 woooo hooo love your channel
Cant wait till next year, thanks for checking me out.
Not sure exactly how you’re disappointed with an 8 on the football card from 1964. Grades above that for vintage are comparatively rare.
I hear where you are coming from but that card in an 8 is only worth $15 and thats basically what i paid to grade it. And that was just an initial reaction after waiting way too long for what was supposed to be a 1 month turn around.
@@AddictedtoProfit Yeah, grading common vintage cards for profit usually doesn't end well.
Your reaction to the Rice was priceless! Thanks for sharing and entertaining!
Thank You, I really appreciate that!!! I guess no one can accuse me of looking at the grades before I opened the box! 🤣
Lol - it’s happened to me many times and I get so pissed I have to laugh.
I hear that, they finally sent the other card they owed me and i have not opened the box yet....
@@AddictedtoProfit did you ever get that last card? Any word on why it took so long?
Honestly, sports trading cards might be an excellent investment...especially sense the nostalgia value of sports when they were great is a thing
I am doing my comeback event at 7pmest tonight. It would mean a lot to me to see you at dramaween 2019! I am expecting a good showing!
they are an excellent investment when you know what your doing. i cant begin to explain how good it can be and it totally flies under the radar.
sorry i missed it, but i have just been staying in my lane for the last few months.
Seems you got beat up on some of the disappointed cards .I was thinking about grading until I watched your vid . Thinking twice at this point .Happy Easter
well at this point psa is closed down while they hold on to million of dollars of other peoples cards. they should have at least finished everyone's grading first. I think they are a terrible company, but for some reason their cards demand the most resell value. Im about to give sgc a try, i love what ive seen from them so far...
If you wouldn't mind letting us know what the cost was to send all those cards in for grading thx, n nice turn out on the Luke, Gretzky & Ryan
i put all that info in the video and im about to do another one with bulk grading
The first Duncan auto had white specks on the surface most likely from being stuck to the card next to it.
ill have to look again, but when i sent them they had 0 damage. used a bright led light and a loop
I'm positive PSA has damaged cards Ive sent in. I take scans of them now before I submit.
unfortunately this happening to many people and they will never admit it. I could be a victim too
The ones that are over a grand are all from PWCC Auctions and are assigned a special rating from PWCC on top of the PSA 10 designation.
yeah at the time i did not see that, yeah thats a big ass scam but its amazing it continues to happen over and over. it has to be the owner shill bidding
It's the respect PWCCs opinion brings and obviously shill bidding is possible but if you look at PWCC sold prices they just dominate other auctions.
there is no way they are on the up and up
@RNE2224U then everyone is a moron except you. Don't like it...dont buy it.
A PSA 8 grade on a vintage card is nothing short of premium quality...
I hear ya but not when the card sells for $12 in a psa 8
That Ryan sand berg that sold for 1300$ was pwcc ..... hmmmmm
Yeah i seen that they are so shady.
The 64 was off center top to bottom about 60/40 and left to right wasnt perfect but 55/45 which is really good. There also appeared to be some yellowing on the white border. There is a reason only 2 of the 213 64 Topps Mcrae cards have been given a 10. It's almost impossible. I feel your pain tho buddy.
yeah i was just caught up in the moment, especially all i went through to finally get the cards. my 25 day turn around because 4 months
I have two 20 day turnarounds I submitted in mid August and not a peep.
that does not surprise me at all
The difference in the Gretzky prices is the $400-500 is for the Topps (the one you graded) and the O-Pee-Chee (OPC being the $1000+).
I was actually very pleased with the gretzky rookie, because they could have deemed it fake or altered
@@AddictedtoProfit Well they can only deem it fake if it is fake. Suggest getting a loop, if you know the few things to look for in a Gretzky real vs fake, you can tell in seconds but you need a loop in many instances. Unless its OPC then there are some tell tail signs of real vs fake. I have 3 Gretzky rookies to send it, thanks for the video!
Altered doesnt necessarily mean trimmed. Doesn't meet minimum size is definitely them saying it was trimmed.
true but its the first thing i thought of in the moment
Nice. The Sandberg was a PWCC sale, so it’s probably inflated. Nice return.
I realized that after the fact, cant take those serious! Thanks for watching hope you liked it!
@@AddictedtoProfit I was just going to mention PWCC was the seller...avoid PWCC...
yeah they are not on the up and up but i was considering consigning to them
Looks like your McRae has a chipped bottom left corner on back. 8 was right
you might be correct, but i figured they would not count so much for it being on the back. It was just my initial reaction to everything
Thanks for sharing, how much did PSA charge you to grade all those cards in this video
the psa yearly membership package is $250. You get 15 grades with that plus they give you a monthly magazine.
@@AddictedtoProfit thanks, I purchased the membership a month ago, recieved the magazine & hardback book & sleeves- I had no idea I get 15 free grades with that thanks for the info
I see printing errors on the front and back of the McRea.
You know i could be a wrong end of a switched card. The jerry rice i sent does not look the same as the one i got back js
I can almost guarantee you there is a tiny crease on the Rice.
there could be but i looked it over multiple time before sending it
Happens to the best of us. I did the same exact thing with an 86 Walter Payton.
I hear ya, none of us are perfect and neither are they I have about 1000 cards put to the side to grade but of course Ill give them a second and third look before sending. Ive been grading with becket for a long time but i figured id try psa because their cards resell higher. SGC will be next
I collected back in 86 and have a bunch of Rice and Young cards. I was thinking about getting into grading, but after watching your video, I’m having second thoughts about it. Did you ever crack open the Rice? What was the results?
PSA is super tough on the 86 Topps set, I have cracked some out and re subbed to other companies. Only problem higher graded does not mean more re sell value
@@AddictedtoProfit Thanks for that info!
For the two that came back altered; could it be that the the ultra pro protectors pressed the edges down? I've heard of "altered" being assigned because edges appear pressed down
i highly doubt it, i make sure to open the holders up first where the card slides right in. more than likely they were trimmed to look mint i used to know a crook that did that, we called him card shaver shane lol
That Philadelphia card came back a 8! The grader must have been tired or drunk!
Thats what im saying. I honestly think they dont want to give out too many high grades unless you do big volume with them!
Addicted to Profit At the end of the day you still have some really nice cards there.
No doubt and some have sold already. That was just organic emotion in the moment, a lot of it coming from all the drama in just getting the cards back.
an 8 is bad?
Depends on the card...
is it cheaper for just a few cards for PSA? Ive always used Beckett
the more cards you send the better the per card price. i used to use beckett for years but i got tired of psa re sell prices being higher! thanks for watching!!
if you don't know where the flaws are you should've went with beckett grading they break it down for you even though they are tougher than PSA
I used beckett for over 10 years and I got tired of seeing psa cards sell for more. ive already sold most of these
With as much issues you have had, would you recommend using a different grading service?
Thats tough because PSA brings in the most value when you try to resell the cards. But yeah i had all kinds of problems with them. I did get them to admit fault and they actually did something about it, so maybe they are turning over a new leaf. New video coming where I show the final card they sent me along with their apology....
@@AddictedtoProfit Awesome! Thank you for the update.
I don’t trust PSA anymore. They sure can nitpick the little dude especially when you see some of these “big” sellers cards that have have had major things overlooked. The obvious differences in how people’s cards are being graded is a travesty
Its real hard to trust them but their grades bring the most value. I had a ton of problems with them on this order but some good things actually came from it in the end. Thank you for watching!
Odds of getting a 10 on a 64 card is extremely rare.
tell me about it, but i thought i had a chance, plus i was caught up in the moment while i was filming.
@@AddictedtoProfit psa grading had been suspect lately in my opinion. They are still way behind and have had to hire and train new people I've seen some really bad submissions lately
@@PIP-zf9yb they have been suspect in the publics view too. I knew they have been shaddy but i took the risk anyway. Did not turn out too bad
@@AddictedtoProfit ya I've had great success but last one came back all low grades on modern cards that look perfect
unreal
IT'S about the card's and not greed. Cheating the hobby isn't the way.
So what im not allowed to make a living doing something i love?
Have you thought of resending to take a gamble ??
most of them have been sold, and no because it would cost for that gamble, buti cant complain i did well on selling!
You still have that gretzky?
sold it
Top has a flap. Open knife on side. Your gonna see a flap
what card are you talking about?
@@AddictedtoProfit When you open the Box cut the flap then open the Box but cut the Box on the side of the top of the Box it's easier
yeah i was kind of unprepared all I had was scissors, but i got it
