I like learning what fish are called in other parts of the world. Here in the U.S. we call those mangrove jacks, grey or mangrove snapper due to their obvious behavior with anything near their mouth. We refer to pelagic fish Caranx hippos and similar species as jacks. Love the adventures and fun. Cheers

Jacks are to good a fish to fillet and skin, best scaled and gutted and baked whole with lots of butter. Suck every bone clean no waste
