Her acting and singing are in such harmony! I love the frustrated look that she gives during the belting, until it becomes more confused - which is something I feel that is so embodied in the lyrics and music itself.
I saw her in Phantom of the Opera 3 years ago. I had come mostly to hear John Owen-Jones, and I was a little worried that the Christine opposite him might not be good enough to match his voice... Well... As soon as I heard her, I was no longer worried! She was amazing.
When Les Mis cast change was announced last year I was literally devestated that Celinde would stop as Fantine! She sings so beautiful and her acting is unbelievable. When I saw her as Fantine I had shivers on my back when she was singing I Dreamed A Dream and I nearly criend when Fantine died.
I appreciate this version because 1.) technically she is a FANTASTIC singer and 2.) the way she sings it brings out the anger and rage behind the character more than other versions where they capture the emptiness and depression. She's pissed! She becomes an angry tigress, and I think it's fantastic!!!! New perspective!
I have seen a lot of musical theatre ( 35 years) and when i saw her in Phantom a few years ago . she just pushed me back in my seat with a very sharp intake of breath . She sang with buscher stephen Barry , and you can see her inkling of her further hidden vocal talent towards the end .
Ok so ppl might come for me or whatever but this might be controversial but Scott Paige, celinde, Oliver ormson and Carrie hope fletcher would make a outstanding band 🥺
I went to see it in 2013 I prefer na-young jeon singing it but I mostly like lea selonga as fantine celinde schoenmaker looks abit like Sierra bogges abit
Hands down. The best Fantine in the West End.
A beautiful voice and a powerful sound.

Celinde Schoenmaker is without a doubt the greatest female singer in the west end now. She is absolutely OUTSTANDING
We saw Phantom and met Celinde on Saturday (see my newest vlog!). My sister and I love her so much we both cried!!
Willemijn Verkaik was also at the West end at the same time ;) The 2 best voices of the west end were dutch !!
Her and Carrie hope fletcher are incredible xx
When it reopens bring her to Broadway, in any role
That "shame" at 2:03.... Perfect
I don't know how Celinde feels but it comes across as this is her signature song. :)

She is just perfect for this role of Fantine. Her acting combined with that immense power she has in her voice, she controls soooo well. LOVE her !
Celinde is the Next Generation of amazing vocal artists. The future of musical theater is in very safe hands.
Spellbinding.
