- Join us at the Three Bears General Store. A 40,000 square foot family owned operation at the heart of Pigeon Forge. This local icon has been a part of the strip since 1979. They truly have everything, including LIVE BEARS!!! Is this our favorite souvenir shop in all of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg?

Speaking of butter, I don't personally eat it anymore, but all through my childhood and adolescence, my mother used to keep her butter on the counter. She hated putting in the fridge because then you couldn't spread it on anything. Despite the fact that we ate butter that wasn't refrigerated none of us (and there were eight of us!) got sick. And that red velvet fudge had me drooling -- I LOVE red velvet cake. Next to chocolate, it is my favorite!
I wonder if butter now is the same as butter then? My grandfather used to always tell stories about how many things they ate wasn't refrigerated and they didn't get sick. However, i'm not sure they make food as good and in the same manner as they did then. It seems even refrigerated food can make one sick these days. 🤷 The red velvet fudge was good but the triple chocolate was the best! 😋vThanks for watching and commenting! I hope you are doing well.

I love virtual shopping since I can't afford real shopping right now! This is the only place I've seen that sells pickled green tomatoes, yum! Lots of nice things here.
We like watching those types of videos too. This is a new type of video for us to do so we wondered if there would be an interest in it. They had a lot of great stuff in there, some expensive, some not. I would like to try some of their more interesting canned items that you don't see many places like the pickled green tomatoes. Great walkthrough tour of the Three Bears General Store. Huge variety of pickled and jams. My go to items are peach jellies and pickled jalapeños. The mint chocolate chip fudge that I saw in the case looks good. Bummer the ghost pepper fudge was a miss. Great the red velvet and triple chocolate were hits. I like the Chow Chow made with green tomatoes in it. It's good with fried green tomatoes. And it's good on Shredded BBQ Pork Sandwich. I love to go to that store. That fudge...yumm. I'm definitely trying that red velvet...😋 Have a great week! 🤗

@@RaysontheRoad I let out an eww when you sampled the ghost pepper fudge...🥴. I just finished raiding the ice cream, 😋. The moon pie and RC brought back memories...to me that's like a 5 star meal, lol.
The ghost pepper fudge was.... different. 🤢 I wouldn't get it again but others may like it. 😆 I agree, there are few things in life that can beat an RC Cola in a glass bottle and a Moon Pie.

Delicious on corn bread, pinto beans, and hot dogs, or straight from the jar! At Cracker Barrel we served them with beans and greens or pinto beans and cornbread. If you ever had pickled beets or onions it's along those lines of flavor.

Chow chow is a type of relish. Some are spicy. Some are mild with a slight sweetness. We eat it in pinto beans.

Chow is my favorite with pinto beans. You cant leave out the fried chicken. My Grandpa use to make chow.

I have a pottery butter jar bought in Gatlinburg because we use real butter. loved it! But if you don't use fairly quickly, it can go rancid.
They have a lot of nice pottery butter containers for sale in the area. We switched to real butter awhile back, it tastes better but its hard to spread. I haven't tried leaving it out but have wondered if that was a solution? Thanks for watching and commenting!

I have a jar of chow chow in my pantry but I’ve never tried it!
Seems like it would keep a long time like sauerkraut. Not exactly sure what it is but you see it all over these days. I wonder what it tastes like?
Now I’m curious! I am going to have to open it up and try it! lol

Is three bears handicap/mobility scooter friendly? Elevator?
I think so. You can see us getting into the elevator in the video and I did a short of the elevator if you are interested in it. I will say that they have a ton of merchandise and some aisles are narrow so depending on the width of your wheelchair/scooter it may be a challenge to get down some aisles. I hope this helps.
