- More than 700 migrants crossed the Channel on the day two people died attempting the journey - the highest number of daily crossings since Sir Keir Starmer became Prime Minister.
The Home Office recorded 703 people arriving in the UK on Sunday in 11 boats, suggesting an average of 64 people per boat.
Migration expert Robert Bates joins Talk’s Mike Graham to discuss this further.

I just got a taxi yesterday in a extremely rural Fen area. The taxi driver, a Sikh from India, told me he was technically an illegal but that he loved the country and he seemed really nice. He also told me 'if you people dont stand up soon, in 5 to 10 years the UK will have changed [irrecoverably], forever.'

I just had my windscreen repaired. The repair guy was going back to a migrant accommodation facility to repair (for the 3rd time) 6 minibuses whose windscreens had been smashed by the migrants complaining they are housed in the centre. The company running the site is Indian. The total cost for the 6 minibuses was £3000 a time. These minibuses are used to run them around the local area to entertain themselves.
So £9000. A tiny tiny drop in the ocean but my yearly tax take
