My guess would be stray peaks from within the sample that was not attenuated by the limiter or compressor.
Intersample peaks are when it gets to 0 but don't look like it. You hear it. But it doesn't show any problems on screen

What sample pack is he using that is called "(WAV) Vintage Loops from 2000" and where can I find it
not sure if it's an actual sample pack to be bought publicly or if it's just the name he chose to title his own curated loops under. If you see in the chat, he mentions all those loops he's scrolling through are actually a collection he compiled of old records from the record store he used to work at. Could've been in 2000

Man, I just wish this video wasn't called "How to make a beat", so people wouldn't interpret it as such. He's just messing around with drums in his studio. Experimenting. And that's it.

More like he just downloaded a breakbeat collection, many of these collections, including the one he is digging through, were sourced from Dogs On Acid, I have the exact same breaks collection that he is rooting through, as do many in the drum and bass community.
Maybe, maybe not, doesn’t change that his musics good

Probably ripped breaks from older vinyls/samplepacks, some might even be straight up ripped from old songs
But... You could do this much easier..
