- The Oracle Arms / OA Defense 2311 is a new take on a single action only duty gun. We take a closer look at it after living with it and putting 1000 rounds through it.
Thanks to OA Defense for providing the 2311 for video.

I want to carry a 2311 while I drive my cyber truck then I will be cool and futuristic like the year 2000

Thanks for your reviews, man. I appreciate the honest feedback on everything - the gun - the use - the gun - the service - the break in period. You're my go-to for honest content.
Kudos to you for looking the pistol into the holster every time. Cannot stress that enough, especially if the pistol is hot.
It's nice to see a very positive review of the Oracle Arms 2311. Great job!
Perfect pacing of information on this one 👍
Liked this review and that they resolved your issue..i am going to think hard about purchasing one for ccw, it looks really great
Between my Sig P226 SAO legion and now Beretta 92xI squalo I can’t see spending this kind of money on a duty SAO new design. The reliability of the 92 and P226 are legendary.
Ok boomer
@@xtreme4stringbass calm down francis, it’s acceptable to call out dorks seeking out newly designed gun reviews to leave a comment about how they don’t buy new designed guns. Nobody cares about the theoretically reliability of the top dollar safe queens. The OA is too ugly to be a safe queen and I hope we see some of them with a lot of miles in Limited Open by end of season. Save your self congratulations for the days you spend leaning on the counter at the LGS with the other retirees who have low round count guns.
Whataburger hat... the most consistent part of your range loadout. ❤
Great review. I appreciate this🤙🏽🤙🏽
I’ve been following this since they 1st announce and just ordered the compact pro. I like the whole concept of the hybrid. So hopefully I don’t have a ton of 1gen gun issue. Thanks for the video.
Lefty chiming in to say, being able to operate the slide stop easier on a 1911 with my trigger finger is a great bonus I've enjoyed. I also operate the mag release with my trigger finger as well, so my finger stays off the trigger during administrative operations, which is a nice bonus.
One of my favorite Guns from ShotShow. Compact ported model is what I'm looking for ,as soon as I get my shit together. They even offered to send me one.
P320 mags from ACT-Mag can be had for $23 from Greg Cote. I used these extensively when I was running a P320 in CO and never had a problem with them.
Turn off for me was $800-$1600 in a couple sets of MBT 2011 mags.
Greg cote… great place for mags
Waiting on my compact and I ordered the fullsize magwell so I'll have the best combo!
I know it's a little late in the game but I would love to hear your take on the M&P 5.7x28 with the tempo barrel. I love mine with the holosun 507k. None the less keep the great videos coming. You're the man.
My whole life, manufacturers have been building guns for government administrators. It's refreshing to see some manufacturers building guns for shooters instead.
You mean like the entire competitive shooter industry that has been making guns for the niche market for like 4-5 decades? 😆
Have to review platypus with bull barrel 5 inch mode ported and new texture also still waiting for BUL SAS2 5inch model pro tac
Just in time for Magpul 320 mag testing. Any move the 2011 platform can take to cheaper reliable mags is a good one.
good video, thanks
Thanks for reminding me about the affordable 320 mags. I want to get my hands on one of these but the price of this is oof. I really like their service having you accept the fix too even though that likely increases turn around time but it's better than churning it out and hoping. I prefer 5" on 2011 style guns but this being closer to the 320 in design makes me really like the shorter barrel with the longer grip for fat hands.
Great vid as always. Compact pro ordered. What holsters are my OA 2311 compact friends using?
DARA
David, looking forward for your review on the Mac 1911 DS and the new LFA compact version!!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
The Apollo 11
Awesome.
No bushing, no barrel link, those are interesting departures from 1911 internals. I've wondered if the link was functionally equal to modern designs, maybe there is an advantage to changing it. 1911 purists may cringe but I think there is an advantage to a coil spring operated extractor, it elminates the fine tuning required by the 1911 extractor. I think 90% of complaints by people that their 1911 doesn't function out of the box are strictly problems with extractor tension.
I would agree with that- it’s a 1911 without the stuff that keeps a 1911 from easily functioning
Browning's later design the Hi-Power, did away with the barrel link, barrel bushing, and used an external extractor plus double stack magazines, so there's really nothing new in the firearms industry just rearranging ideas.
People complaining about a brand new gun having some malfunction without putting but a few rounds in leave me laughing. My Ed Brown 1911's came with full size paper saying do not even contact them until you have fired 500 rds through it. Some just need a bit of firing to smooth up and considering you're going to be firing 10's of thousands of rds a few hundred is nothing. Great video, interesting pistol in today's very competitive double stack market. I think if we see more of these appear at major matches they may gain a small foothold and will likely only evolve and improve from there.
The only issue I have ever had with a gun that I'd contact anyone for was the prodigy getting hung up on the disconnector and that's just because it was pretty undersprung. Definitely a fault in it and not from breaking in
Really would like to hear your thoughts comparing the 2311 vs the 2011. Time for a head to head!
Great information! Now, I have a purpose for all my m17 mags with this platform
On Rumble more and more... Leaving Google as much as possible

Quality content
I like it but it’s just small grips I don’t like well the ones I see without Magwells
Sweet
I ask this of every new 1911 Double Stack you review, because I know we share a huge admiration for the quality of the company and the platform - this, or an equivalently equipped BUL Armory SAS Tac II variant?
If you watch the slomo you can see your heavy trigger pull. The muzzle drops prior to the shot.
Wish the slide to frame was better. Cool gun
I still think that it was a missed opportunity to introduce the “320-11” to market 😪
Remind your viewers to ring the notification bell!
so many 2011 coming out I just don't know which one to buy. I'm leaning toward the Oracle, but I'm kind of curious about the platypus. and then now there's this Mac 1911. I don't have a bank account for this!
This is the one. They have a ported compact version that looks astonishing
Did you hear about the Italian chef that died yesterday? He pasta way.
I wonder about holster support.
First time ive ever been unsubscribed to a channel.
Any link to your rumble?
That slo mo was impressive. Super flat for a non compensated
I had clarity issues with my cylee wolf pro red dot like the dot almost shows up as a line stretching from north to south instead of a crisp dot but idk if it’s just the dot or just how that dot shows up with my astigmatism. But my other dots don’t show up near as bad like the 407c is a lil better to my eyes and my mecanik Mo2 shows up the best to my eyes shockingly.
Bro how have I seen you post on 7 videos, like I had to go back and check you posted this on 7 videos 😂 you must hate cylee
I can’t wait to get one. I hope they send some out to Bass Pro.
Does shooting different guns in competition have a negative effect
i already knew the other information, in the following video but watched to be polite.
What USPSA & IDPA divisions for this pistol, ported and non ported?
Do u prefer how this shoots over your platypus?
Damn it's so pretty! I am still waiting on that Competition Pro to make a appearance. I NEED IT!
Thumb ledges are a part of the grip and not the frame. It is interesting to see reviews done by those who are sent guns compared to those who have bought one. Mainly because mose companies fully qc the guns they send out for reviews.
mine had a booger on the crown - it didn't affect function - it was 100% reliably - just accuracy wasn't great - it is fine now thought.
@@TheHumbleMarksman seems to be the going trend. I guess I was one of the few that didn’t have this issue
Pretty cool 2011-ish gun. Nice price too. I notice on their website they've got a 2311 Pro model in the works. Get any intel on that at Shotshow?
$2100 for a polymer gun is a nice price?
@@Vizr most 2011s are polymer framed and cost way over 2k. their compacts are going for 1700ish which sounds appealing, wonder why their full size are going for so much more than the compacts.
@@Vizr For a 2011 type gun, yes.
If you said something intelligent, people might pay attention.@@Vizr
@@Vizrget a better job
So… OA 2311 or Platypus?
I actually prefer a little rattle from frame to receiver.
This gun looks like the most law enforcement 2011 style gun ever. Still pretty cool. I'm sure there's a few cops in the comments here that are definitely fondling themselves over this thing lol not that I blame them
I was in fact unsubscribed by CZcams. Resubbed
I would not be happy with that Ransom rest group at 10 yds from a pistol that costs half what this one does, reminds me of the accuracy the first generation S&W M and P pistols suffered with.
👍
the magwell looks like high heels
Have you blown up the CatPro optic yet? I see a Holosun on it now.
I swapped optics when I was having accuracy issues - I wanted to rule out the plate/optic so swapped to holosun - the issues persisted with the different dot
Quick question. I purchased one of the full size models and I am having an issue with my front sight post staying on the gun. after the first 300 rounds it fell off and i had a smith put it back in then after about another 300 it came back out. had a smith put the suppressor high back into it thinking maybe it was the original sight and after a single mag the sight moved back to the left again. Just curious if anyone else had this issue?
Sounds like the front sight channel needs to be looked at by the factory - could be slightly out of spec
Have it pinned, they all come loose eventually.
The rear sight still isn’t visible with a RMR
Sweet! Pistol
It's just... it's so ugly, man. Loving more 2011s on the scene, especially that take proven, inexpensive mags. Just make it look better lol
this
🤘 😁 🤘
I really appreciate more guns using non proprietary mags (that's probably a hill I'm going to die on), butterface...
OA2311 or PDP Steel???
PDP Steel
I’m a bit confused why a sa only vs da/sa would ever be better.
some people like a consistent trigger pull.
Because some people hate a double action first pull because the trigger pulls are not the same every time. If it was DA only, or SA only most people would be more consistent. Just like early adopters of the CZ Shadow always had the thought of throwing the first shot because they might not be as accurate with it as the following shots in SA.
Don’t you need to cock the hammer in a SA only? So how is a da/sa diff. Just carry the da cocked and every trigger pull would be the same.
Looks like Sig X-legion
No dumb "grip safety." That is off to a great start.
Will it fit in a 2011 holster?
No not at all
Well damn
This gun needs serious improvements before I would entertain 2k+$..
I have handled and fired both 4” and 5” models.
I’d rather buy a stacatto P, Cosaint, GP Arms, Bul, or Platypus..
Super expensive awesome pistol with super budget chinese red dot. Nice!
only 3 mags now
Will you be checking out the Tisas double stack 1911s?
lol but don't too.. no rush if you do.. as I'm not a shillbot but a live market representative who wouldn't buy any Turkish products.. ever.
@@blaiseeltine9516 People get so up in arms about Turkish made guns. I personally dont have any but wouldnt care if I did.
@@TrueNeutralConcepts If your values include a fair wage for those Americans involved in the production of domestic firearms, there shouldn't be any Turkish guns in your collection.
Slide sounds like somebody walking in tight corduroy pants😂
Calling this thing a Cybertruck is pretty insulting unless it turns out to be akin to a Hi-Point.
I'd say this is more comparable to a Quadra Type-66.
hey I'm a fan of the cyber truck.
@@TheHumbleMarksman I'm a fan of Rule of Cool engineering and design but the Cybertruck just has so many problems, I'm glad it cannot be made road legal here in Aus cause the things are death traps. It's almost like Musk saw the old pedestrian street sweeper's of the 50s and 60s with 20 foot long hoods and sharpened pike wings and headlight housings and thought that was a smart idea.
@@Ihasanartyou realize Tesla is a company and not just musk right?

@@NutTapActual A company where every major design and production decision is made by a petulant manchild.
Loving utterly unforgivable death traps is soo quirky and original.
Not gonna lie. I don't like single action only guns. I LOVE this gun.
Awesome gun. Just way too nice for my cheap ass. I’ll stick to striker fired or a hammer.
They’ve already changed their name they only been in business for a little while time for a name change
Meh. Keeping lawyers on their toes?
Removing terms like arms, firearms and guns from your business name is going to be a thing moving forward. Due to AI algorithms downgrading marketing and content using these terms. I imagine this is a consideration.
I was hoping someone would do a review of the internals. Is it truly a 2011 FCU? It looks like the mag release is an Sig product, external extractor so obviously the extractor does not carry over from the 2011. Are there any other parts compatible if any with a normal 2011 FCU? Are all of the parts in the FCU proprietary to Oracle?
Hopefully better quality than Tesla. Lol
Specious analogy - that gun is pretty, the cyber truck is hideous.
sir I happen to love the cyber truck styling. You should go to a museum right now and cultivate your taste
Shades of DWX.
Except optic cut.
This is a true 2011 though. DWX could’ve been much more. No grip module, no optics cut, many parts are not interchangeable with 1911/2011, no rails on compact and a round trigger guard (subjective)
Not for me
It's laughable that people are still calling these anything connected to the 1911. The Browning high power is more similar to the 1911 than these 2011's or 2311's
No bull barrel 👎🏻
The Cybertruck is the biggest product launch failure in modern history. The reviews are absolutely HORRIBLE.
I honestly wasn’t impressed by it.
What the hell is Rumble? Some conservative social media cash grab?
A censor free video platform
Well - censor reduced - nowhere near the absurdity of YT
The ugliest gun I've seen in a while
No such thing as a "single action only duty pistol". That is a range play toy for gaming. Combat pistols have passive safeties and they ABSOLUTELY don't have manual safeties. If you immediately jump on your keyboard to ramble about the Colt SAA or the 1911 and WW2 then you are the type of person that would argue that leeches and blood-letting are good medical practices today because they were cutting edge medical treatments during the middle ages.
eh - I'm friendly with a couple SAO brands and know for a fact tier 1 units are deploying with them and have used them in combat. That's a big difference from rank and file infantry deploying with them but as with most things the truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
