- Kicking off this year's anticipated awards season with a bang, the Golden Globes took place in Los Angeles last night with a complete transformation including introducing two new categories: Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures and Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television.
There was an excellent turnout of celebrity style this year, from Ayo Edebiri looking red-hot in custom Prada to Dua Lipa arriving in bespoke Schiaparelli, while Florence Pugh wore a bold Valentino flower-laden gown.

The only "glamorous" outfits in my opinion were the classic Barbie pink that Margot Robbie was wearing, the one that Hunter Schafer wore, and the golden one worn by Issa Rae.

Selena’s dress wasn’t good. Far too busy for her petite frame: the asymmetrical bubble skirt, the black waistband, the 3 crisscross things with black embellishments, the shape of the neckline and arms. And then black and red? Just too much.
absolutely; she's so beautiful, I would prefer that these ladies get a good stylist who is interested in featuring the individual person; not the crazy dress.

I think JLO won this round. Everything from the hair to the dress color and style. Everything was perfectly symmetrical. Just gorgeous!
None of these are worth a second glance, to be honest. I don´t know what has happened to designers lately, but most gowns are either unimaginative or needlessly vulgar, and they are rarely properly tailored to a person wearing them. At this level, I´d expect a lot more.
Dresses are visually interesting, intriguing, but women who wear them... not refined at all, if I may put it this way.
