Hey love, I was out and about and I stopped at a new thrift store and I thought I would take you guys along with me. I also did a mini haul for you and wanted to share some of the treasures I found!!! Hope you enjoy it!! Xo - Jak na to + styl

So it doesn't get lost, the Green and yellow "dress"/"tunic" is a traditional VIETNAMESE attire. Called "Ao dai". Depending on the style, it can be every day wear, or special occasion wear. Since you found that at the thrift store, that means that the other half of it (pants that were made for it) are still at that store. They're satin pants. Very flowing. It won't be that exact pattern though. It will be one where the color just suits it. Ao dai is made of many different materials/textiles. Like I have a blue velvet one with mesh sleeves, gemstones, embroidered flowers, and lace.
@Kat C I bought something like that at a thrift store, not satin material so maybe mine came with pants too.? It looks more Indian inspired though. Thanks for the information.
The green dress is a traditional Vietnamese ‘ao dai’ worn now for special occasions and traditional weddings. Usually they are worn with silk pants and a halo like head piece. ❤️

Katia, I sat on a tiny lime green lizard accidentally when I lived in Florida…☹️ He was totally black and my brother once gave mouth to mouth to a critter so, I tried it and brought him back to life!!!!! It was amazing to see him gradually from black to lime green!!!! It was a true miracle from God!!! Of course we named him Limey and we see him almost everyday!!! I love critters and animals…your new purse reminded me of that! 😂 I’m so sorry that people treat you like that…I’ve been treated like that and recently some women even took my picture!!! I would love to see you out thrifting…I would give you a hug and tell you I absolutely love your style!!! Love from Ohio ❤️

I’m sorry you got picked on sweetie !!! You’re right, when something new happens around people, they turn to judging instead of embracing something different. They don’t have to be so mean and give you the stink eye. Geez !!! You had one lady around you a lot and she kept her hands on her hips the whole time looking back and I wanted to come through the screen to tell her to let you alone. I’m so glad your hubby was with you. Having a man around, and I’m so thankful for my hubby but from my heart wish I didn’t need him when I go out, but I do. I get picked on sometimes mercilessly too, and I’m not holding a camera. You just inspired me to go thrifting! Few times that I have been 15 I have found so many wonderful treasures… I just don’t do it enough. I think I got stuck in the convenience of just finding something online and purchasing it and when I purchase it it’s probably 90% higher price than what I could’ve gotten if I would’ve gone thrifting!
PS I am in the hunt for a new mattress… And I’ve been trying to go more organic with everything so I’m going to give it a try!
