Thank you sidi.. The initiation to enter the tariqah can differ slightly between different branches of the Naqshbandiyah. They usually contain the same elements though - Fatihah etc.. This is the first one I've seen that has this emphasis on tawbah in the beginning - very beautiful. Take care. Wassalaam

@@b326yr the Maliki scholar, Shaykh Ahmad Zarruq al-Shadhuli wrote the following: “For every kind of problem, issue and request that one may have, the Lawgiver (meaning the Prophet) has given a helpful benefit (as a solution for it), and the Awliya’ have given additional solutions. So whoever combines the benefit of the Lawgiver with the additions of the Awliya’, then he has full success and guidance. And whoever confines himself to one without the other, then he is deficient accordingly. However, lacking in the guidance of the Lawgiver precludes any benefit, whereas lacking in the additions of the Awliya’ would not necessarily cause harm because they are only for fortification and consolidation. Halting with the additions of the Awliya’ while abandoning what has been transmitted from the Lawgiver is harmful in this life and the next. So if you wish to employ a certain set of invocations and supplications (wird) which a Wali has taught for a certain situation, then precede that with what has been transmitted from the Lawgiver concerning that situation… [he finished by saying In conclusion]: the secrets of the Awliya’ are under the umbrella of the secrets of the Shari’ah. So whoever wishes to attain his goal, should precede first with what the Lawgiver transmitted, and then follow that up with its like from the inheritance of the Awliya” (Taken from: Sharh Hizb al-Bahr, by Sidi Ahmad Zarruq al-Fasi al-Maliki, pp. 44-48.)

Men and women are to be kept apart as much as is reasonably possible at all times! This is the Sharia because otherwise fitna becomes widespread because mankind has been created weak especially in this regard! One of the biggest fitna that struck the Jews was this fitna. Wasseela through the Prophet (saw) is not only allowed, but encouraged by all 4 madhabs and has been so since the time of the Prophet (saw). The idea that this is forbidden came about with the Wahabi sect "scholars" who have made up their own interpretations of the Quran and Sunnah and completely deviated from what was the interpretation of ahle sunnah wal jammah for centuries. Careful with such sect and their self-taught scholars who have nothing to do with ahle sunnah wal jammah, even if they claim so.

Some time after Rasul Allah, (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), had passed away, ‘Abd Allah Ibn ‘Umar [May Allah be pleased with Him] was in Najd where one day his foot became numb. As a remedy to alleviate the pain, a person said to him. “Remember the one whom you love the most!” Upon hearing this Ibn ‘Umar [May Allah be pleased with Him] said “Ya Muhammad! [May Allah bless him and grant him peace]” and his foot made an immediate recovery from numbness.
[Imam Bukhari, Adab al Mufrad al Kalim al Tayyab; Hafidhh Ibn Taymiyya and Qadi Shawkani, Tuhfah al Dakireen chapter on Khadirat Rijluhu, and also Imam Nawawi’s Kitab al Adkar]
      Hafidhh Ibn Taymiyya writes,
In the same way as ‘Abd Allah ibn Umar’s foot became numb and he remembered the one he loves the most, ‘Abd Allah Ibn Abbas’s foot also became numb. Someone also said to him to remember the one who he loves the most, whereupon ‘Abd Allah Ibn Abbas said Ya! Muhammad [May Allah bless him and grant him peace] and his foot immediately recovered from numbness.
