To train for a full distance triathlon amidst your full time work as a PE teacher, not to forget the time you have invested in packing things and getting everything ready to move to Thailand, AND creating content consistently for the CZcams channel, is nothing short of spectacular. You did not just complete this triathlon, but you won. Congratulations Ben!
I have been very excited for this video to come out. After the first of many, many rewatchs, I have to say thank you and congratulations for this race and your life in general. You are a huge inspiration to us, your fans. As a casual cyclist in my thirties, dabbling in running, you have sparked my love for triathlon, and once I learn to not swallow water after 50m of front crawl swimming, I' ll be following in your footsteps hopefully to a long-distance event. All the best for you and Mary and everyone reading this. As for the full dissection: yes, yes, and yes again.

Yes a full dissection of the race please, especially with how you managed to conjure up your plan based on knowledge of yourself and fit it to an unknown event so successfully. Well done Ben and also Mary did a great job. My best ever was 12hr34min but I never weed on myself so probably 12hr31min! You are an amazing athlete and a humble dude which makes me enjoy both of you and your channel. Congrats Ben. I loved the video. Mary got some great shots of you. Pretty cool that you can say "one and done". After a great race like that I am often left thinking to myself "Can I get better?". I am glad your race went to plan. I have had very few races like that in my long career of racing (over 15 years). I have a bad habit of starting out way too fast and crashing. Probably why marathon distance events aren't my thing. I would love to see a break down of your race sets but I know you are going to be busy moving and have a massive journey ahead of you. Congrats again and can't wait to see what you do next.

Ah massive well done Ben (and Mary) got me a little emotional. You deserve this so much after everything. I was thinking of you guys last week in my little local 10k race and at the point I though I was going to keal over in the heat, you guys popped into my mind smashing out the full iron man so told myself to stop complaining and get a wriggle on it’s only 10k 🤣 . Following you for some time I felt like it was my own race - I was so invested emotionally. Really happy for you. Your time is crazy fantastic and you made it look very easy, but the amount of effort that preparation took is astonishing.
Mary's commentary - cannot deny that it's full of love but lack of attention to details ("2 or 3 loops" - come on, Mary!) drove me crazy. :D
