Momma's right! Most SEC teams play 4 or 5 away games & 7 or 8 home games. Traditionally you front load the easy non-conf gms at the beginning. The UMass game on the road is puzzling. I like the setup as far as starting 4-0 & getting all the kinks worked out.
I've seen Peyton Marshall play a couple AAU games and he's the real deal. He could use a little better shooting touch from 10 feet but he's a rebounder, a back to the basket paint dominator and a good passer. However, he's a freshman so it may take until late in the season for him to get fully acclimated to the SEC but I think he's going to be a very solid piece in this team's puzzle.
The big thing I'd like to see worked out on offense is how the RB rotation looks. Carroll and Noel figure to be something of a thunder and lightning combo. The real question is whether we can get some game reps for Tavorus Joines, Jamal Roberts, and even Kewan Lacy. It's clear that Drink generally trusts experience at RB. I'd like to see the younger backs get some of that game experience so that we know if we have starting-caliber guys on the roster or if we have to use the transfer portal again next season.
It is pretty clear that Drink trusts experience at almost all positions. He hasn't done much to give younger guys a shot outside of a few and especially at QB.
They're all in for this year. This is our yr to win the Natty. He's gonna play the best guy. Drink barely played speedster Peat who ran a 4.3 40 at pro day, 41" vertical, & is already signed with the Cowboys. TBH you and I could have gotten 3ypc behind that line & I'm an old Jewish guy with a bad back, ankles, & knees, lol.
I know Drink would never see this but. I hear his talk about running backs need to take the step to put the team first and yada yada. Eli. I m a diehard Mizzou fan and we went 10-0 my high school senior year. The message was “Just win baby”. I pray Eli focuses on it’s all about the team and winning. We need this for the state sir.
I think Gates portal additions were fine. I chalk it up to injuries. If just Grill didn't get hurt that changes the entire season. WIS just paid Tonje $465k for this year. What would a healthy Tonje have looked like? Bates was a great pickup last year as well. I'm not worried at all.
I speak four languages, two of which are the dead languages of Ancient Greek and Latin, both “most mad” and “maddest” are grammatically correct. They are both superlatives just one is a comparison and one is an adjective.
10 and 2 IN the playoffs if they beat A&M and Alabama or Alabama and Oklahoma. 10 and 2 OUT of the playoffs if they lose to A&M and Alabama or Alabama and Oklahoma. Mizzou, I think, has to beat A&M. If they do that, the sky's the limit.
This season is wild in that in all reality, 3-4 games are going to determine the whole season. There’s little room for error, but thankfully we have the first four games to figure out the defense. I think we: • lose to aTm and Bama. Those are going to be incredibly difficult road games. • find a way against ZeroU in overtime • squeak past Auburn by 5. I think they will be better than expected with their success on the recruiting trail and make things interesting. The home field advantage allows us to prevail against them. Final record: 10-2 I cannot wait though. This is the most excited I’ve been about a Mizzou season with all of our returning talent on offense and potential talent on defense. Eli KILLED it in recruiting. Hot take: • Courtney Crutchfield has 200 receiving yards. That guy is a future superstar. • Marquis Johnson unseats Mookie as WR3. If he can figure out how to expand his route tree this offseason, he’s got more upside than any player on the team not named Luther Burden and William Nwaneri. • Williams Nwaneri becomes the clear starting DE across from Johnny Walker by the end of the season, and finishes with 5 sacks. • Brent Norfleet has 300+ receiving yards • Brady Cook has over 4000 passing yards
I like most of your picks. Crutchfield will redshirt. I'd replace him with Manning. A&M should be a win. New coach, half the team transferred out, QB is mid at best, we do well at A&M. I think ALA is a tossup. We've got a shot at it. I don't see Nwanerri putting up those numbers this year. Assuming he's a DE we've got JMJ & Zion Young. Moore & D.Smith backing them up. Beasley at OLB for additional pass rush. Next year is his year.
That's great to hear about the team bonding. Thanks for that.
The whisper was f'ing hilarious.

Give yourself full credit. You speak five languages, one of which is the fan bullshit dialect.

So what you're saying is Peyton Marshall will be an all american his fr year?
Nope.
@@LockedOnMizzou That's what I heard. Writing down date & time. lol

I’d even go on a limb to say, 2 games will determine the season. A&M and Alabama

@jacobtyler8482 I'd add OU, and then hope we don't lay an egg somewhere
@@scottmenze2704We're beating OU by 10+
@johnberger8817 hope you're right, just being the realist here
Michael Clayton seems mid to me & a huge dropoff from Zoellers. Do you like him?
I haven't watched him yet.
Missouri will lose to Bama Arkansas and Oklahoma and 1 more other game that Missouri defense will be trash 🗑️ 7-5 8-4 at best
Man Missouri is gonna be trash 🗑️ this season lol back smacked to reality this season
DOUBLE TRASH
You could be right about your assumption but let’s see what happens
