Your son looks badass and it’s really cool that you have one that’s black like that. I’ve never seen that. I just got a 2000 and im really excited about it

I didn't realize you sped up the ride footage. I was thinking, man they are flying!

1986-1987 (EX250-E) operate at 8k - 13k, Max limit is 15k.... 1988-2007 (EX250-F/EX250-G/EX250-H) operate at 7k - 13k, (1988-1995) has an ignition limiter set to 15,500 rpm. This dropped to 14,500 rpm between 1996 and 2005, and to 14,000 rpm in 2006 and 2007...Some bikes from 2005 onward had red line lowered to 13,000 rpm. This was due to Kawasaki becoming more conservative and realizing that there could be some lubrication problems over 13,000 rpm and from 2008 onwards 13k limit... 2008-2012 (EX250-J) Extensive redesign with trading some top end power 20 percent increase in mid-range with increased weight (an extra 22lbs) and no center stand, operate at 6k - 11k, Max limit is 13k.

Ya my 06 hits 14k but these jump right to the spark cut when sorted. Remember shifting my 89 exactly at 14 but can't remember if that was rev limiter or best shift point, might've been like a California model or whatever. Def a more powerful engine then the later baby Ninjas

@@kennethfrazee2540 I think the 06 lost power curve around 12500rpm and cuts out at 14k(stock).

Maybe I'm just getting too old and frightened by the laws of physics but the 88-07 baby ninja with a few basic carb mods is realistically enough power for street use. Kawi tuned these for a gentle torque curve but they start getting pissed off with a jet swaps...

I just bought an 06 with 1100 mi. Like new. I didn't need a beginner but for the price I needed this bike! The guy who owned it worked out of state and it sat in his garage covered up. I'm 56 and been riding since I was 12 years old this Lil ninja is my 21st. Motorcycle. Had to clean the carb and Changed fluids and I can tell ya that I love riding this bike. To work the store and the mountain two lane twisties where I live. It's no rocket buts so light and comfortable to ride and looks cool in the stable as well. Good video and your a great Dad. Motorcycles are a passion for me and a huge part of my life I bought my a son a a Lil Honda soon as he learned to ride a peddle bike. He is 35 now and is passionate about riding to this day.

His Harley is screaming at 8,000 rpm. That is what he is relating it to. The Ninja is just getting warmed up at 8-9,000 rpms lol

I don't wanna be that guy but there's no way a 15 year old was insured or had a licence or any of the legal requirements to ride a motorcycle on a public road. I know I'll probably get backlash but this seems really dumb. If your son had an accident everyone involved would have been screwed.
