It was still 4 full weekends of tournaments for it to happen this year and this layout that's being played is also slightly different for this final weekend vs what we saw for the chess.com event.

If I take a +4, Im definitely getting batted down by an iron leaf, followed by a rejected sawgrass putt. Probably, also getting a brown ace in some random dumpster, lol!

Thomas' comment about the road being a distraction is dead-on accurate. He's too polite to say that its obnoxious to have to putt when some random stranger is driving by watching. Canadians. They have manners eh? 😎
I think he's talking specifically about the VOLUME of the road and the cars.
In the 10 years or so I've been going to the property I've concluded:
- That road seems to be 'made different' in that the standard driving of vehicles on it really creates a louder-than-normal sound for cars on a road. I know that sounds bizarre but I truly that at this point.
- Besides already being a 'loud' road - people really love to 'punch it' on that road which then adds to the noise as well.
Maybe I am just looking (or listening) for it at this point after all these years but every single year it is something that really jumps out while filming and while editing and while doing commentary.
Heck - I'm even deaf in one ear and still conclude all of that!

Does Thomas not have a tour card? I would think he would make more money playing DGPT events than A-tiers. Love this property, can't get enough coverage on it. Terry is the hero we need on off weeks. Not Disc Golf guy related but College Disc Golf Championships are this weekend at Winthrop. The PDGA should've invited Terry out to cover it. Though Gatekeeper probably will, they seem to cover most of the PDGA majors and other non-DGPT events. Still though.. playing college nationals on winthrop and having the disc golf guy cover your round? Does it get any better?
he has a much better chance cashing at an a tier than a pro tour event...in all reality at his rating, he would have a hard time cashing at ANY event on tour
He is on tour - I just believe that he didn't want to be in Texas for yet another week. He loves Florida, he loves this event and property and was looking for something that simply wasn't Texas. That's what I understood from him anyway.
