DAVID ANTHONY RICE - - JUNE 8 1951 Danville,Virginia - - DECEMBER 25 2020 Reidsville, North Carolina - - 69 years and 6 months here on earth but forever in our hearts -
I just found out about this guy about 4 days ago from watching Randy shartenager in the house that never sleeps channel on CZcams. And he mentioned this guy Tony Rice Tony Rice I never heard of them but thank you again Randy for introducing me to the legendary TONY RICE AND THE REST OF THE BAND JERRY ON DORO SO YOUNG.. I ACTUALLY SAW JERRY AND THE EARLS OF LEICESTER AND THAT KIND OF STARTED MY BLUEGRASS EDUCATION... NO I'M HOOKED
Once you get on the Tony Rice bus you never get off.
Eddie, I am happy that you are now on board - - stay with us - -there are many TONY RICE videos - - !
Man I'm happy you found him. His music has brought me joy in ways no other music has. RIP Tony!
Jealous. You get to discover Tony Rice only once. You have so much great content to work through. It’s all gold
What a great and memorable performance! Ricky Simpkins' fiddle on Darcy Farrow is hauntingly beautiful. Superb musicians - everyone in every way.
This is so great it literally made me laugh after John Hardy. Tony mentioning Bela when Tony is absolutely par excellence. Absolutely amazing music! Thank you Ryan Moore....made my day....and my little dog's too. He loves this!
Superb audio quality, one of the best of the live bootleg recordings ive heard. The shadow song is actually titled “ Shadows” written by Gordon Lightfoot. The album Shadows where it first appears was released by Gordon in 1982 and it’s a wonderful recording.
Great Show!!
Wow! What a fantastic recording! Thank you for sharing!

Hey jchdwck, are you interested in selling that tape? Or perhaps making a copy of it and mailing?
Fantastic performance!!!! Thank you Tony.
He was so good! They’re all masters of their craft but Tony was the man! Such a cool guy.
Thanks for sharing this!!!!
I have the “in good company” album and was always curious of the set list that night.
incredible recording. thanks!
Thanks for posting, Ryan!
Salt creek on steroids
Lot of great players out there now but their tone and self expression is not in Tony’s league. I have yet to hear anyone that plays rhythm like Tony either.
Does anyone know the name of the third song they play?
Dusty Miller. Set list is in the description
