    This song came out when I was in gradeschool with heavy radio play, saying or singing 'bitch' on the radio was a jaw dropper. Great song. Walk On The Wild Side by Lou Reed comes to mind also because it was risque in other ways for radio play back in the 70s. Love me some Hall & Oats, and of course Lou and some Velvet Underground (RIP Lou).

It's because Daryl Hall is still bringing the best musicians together at his home studio and recording THEIR hits while giving a behind the scenes, backstage pass view on CZcams videos. I believe you two will love, love, love Daryl's House. You two make me really happy, and I would love to share the experience of you enjoying some of these fantastic songs. They had their own original never heard before sound like all the iconic bands from the 60s through the 80s that we enjoy. That was the great thing about that time in music.all brand new. I'm 61. It was magical. Everywhere you went music the music was playing as it came out. Life moved to the beat of it for everyone. Then it died in the 90s. But what a run it had and I am blessed to have been right in the middle of it. Motown. More motown. We don't want that to ever dissappear. It stands at the top.

    What's cool about Daryl Hall, is that he has always been "real people". Hall & Oates were mega-stars in the 70's and early 80's, and Daryl actually lived in a regular old apartment in the West Village of Manhattan. Same with Paul Shaffer. You'd often see them in the corner Korean deli, hailing cabs, walking down the street with a girlfriend after it snowed...just like us "regular folks" :-)

  • @ebenclukey7293
    @ebenclukey7293 Před 2 lety

    Hall and Oates took pop songs that could've been disasters and treated them with the highest level of musicianship, arrangements, energy and funk/soul feels. They were old school in that there is a sense of schooled performers. They also do their best (each musician) to not play straight chords. There are complicated chords with lots of color tones. Also, if you listen to them live, you'll notice that even though they play the same progression four or five times, each player mixes it up and plays each verse/chorus slightly different so we don't (and they don't) get bored. They're also listening to each of their band mates, not stepping on what someone's doing, but often times playing off what someone's doing. For soul/pop it's top tier stuff all around.

I'm sorry but this song isn't up to the level of Soul Music. I love the song. It is a feel good easy to dance to song from my teen years that we all knew was Pop Rock.
