- Hi, this video looks at 3 different Arcade Stands for the Nintendo Switch. These are good if you like to play Neo Geo or Arcade Archive games in table top mode and want the Switch to look like a mini arcade cabinet.
All 3 arcade stands have different features and builds so you will get a good idea which type you prefer.
I show the making of them at the beginning of the video and then later a test and review.

For the First one that uses the Rubber Bands what I recommend is sanding the edges down especially the part where the Switch rests in. If you wanted to take it up more you can glue the siding together and after it drys cut the edges off sand it down then place a whatever art panel you want

The first option looks the best imo. I mean, I could like connect my tabletop adapter and connect a hardwired USB controller to it play arcade-style gameplay on it. There is also the upcoming HORI USB Stand for Nintendo Switch that I really want. I want there to be a Fighting Commander to play Code of Princess EX (FCs go well with Arcade-style RPGs like Odin Sphere or Dragon’s Crown even with an arcade stick) or Street Fighter it any NEO-GEO game with it. Hey, can you like do a DIY arcade display and connect your television or monitor to it? I’d connect a 24-inch monitor and virtually connect anything to it, even a PC!

I'm pretty sure that cut outs for joy-cons in cardboard set are just handels. When you want to play just pick them up :)
No, the picture they use to promote it shows two kids playing on the thing with joycons IN there.
I love the black one because if you like to just sit back and set the switch on a table you have the controller with you it's just perfect! And it makes the switch look like a real arcade machine. If I could I would get the coin slot from the cardboard one because it gives it the more retro style feel. I would get the black one and get letter stickers and put the word "switch" on the top and put a coin slot on it and play pack man for hours. Black one 9/10
1. I too would like for there to be a perfect fusion between all three versions of those Switch arcade cabinets.
2. Just two weeks ago I created a cardboard accessory that disguises my phone as a Nintendo Switch! How awesome is THAT!!!
The black one looks like a real arcade stand actually. For me, Nintendo should already make an arcade stand imitation with harder materials, maybe through teaming up with Sega. That'd be fun.

My opinion about all of them:
Black Stand:
Good points: The Switch Screen stays snug in place, easy access to the Game Card and air vent space, not to mention it looks amazing and it truly fits
Bad points: No place to charge the screen, nowhere to put your Joy Cons and you have to be specific when putting the screen in place
My score: 8/10
Arcade Bracket:
Good points: Everything fits in place, is sturdy, it looks nice as well and it looks like something you'd expect to see from Nintendo Labo
Bad points: The Joy Cons slide out, there isn't enough space for the Air Vents, the SL and SR keys are impossible to press without taking it out, the charging cable is awkward to set up and the screen easily falls out if not careful
My score: 4/10
Wooden Stand:
Good points: Has an adjustable stand for the Switch to change the angle and there is a place to put both your Joy Cons with
Bad points: Easily toppled due to design error over and the screen easily falls out, it doesn't have very good air vents for the Switch while in use, not to mention that using a Joy Con in the place while playing does hurt your fingers after a while
My score: 2/10
I use a Nyko PixelQuest Arcade Kit which looks amazing, has joysticks for your Joy cons, accessible buttons for the SL and SR buttons and a place to charge your console while in use
When you’d rather use a single joy con than 2 joycons with a grip.
My favorite is the Hori Switch Stand. It allows me easy access to the USB C port where I can attach a Brook Connector (PS4 to Switch) and my PS4 Hori Fight Stick. I also attach a portable speaker to the headphone jack and I'm all set.

The second one might block the air vent. Also, many people always equip their switch with either plastic case or silicone, wish you cover which one able to use with cases too.
y1985 Probably all of them work with a case, as long as the case is thin, but two of them do have the problem of the Switch falling out either way.

This looks like the Nintendo Labo. Still, it looks awesome to have. Like you said in the video, it does give a retro look, and I agree with you very highly. Speaking of the Nintendo Labo, will you be doing a step by step build of one of the products e.g. fishing rod?
Hi there, thanks for the comment. Yeah, I got all the Nintendo Labo stuff on UK release day but I haven't even opened up the boxes yet. I will definitely do some builds on it and I am also looking forward to maybe using Wii accessories on it and using it in other ways :-)

I think the Black One is perfect if you prefer to play using Pro Controllers or using a Joycon Grip, I mean it's tons more comfortable than cramping your small hands just to use those small Joycons. I guess anyone who wants a cheap stand could opt for that Black one, easy to assemble, nice to look, simple and airflow friendly and suitable as a dock replacement when you don't need to use the USB ports.

For anyone that doesnt know the cord that goes into the dock (plugs into outlet nit HDMI cord) also fits as a cord to charge the switch without putting in the dock

I have a all in one sit down arcade machine.
Ps3/ps4/xbox one, Nintendo switch , mame harddrive 8tb 340 system 180.000 games.
Tank stick with trackball + Nintendo arcade stick.
Can remove both just need to put out the tankstick.
And works fine because they have extra a hole for the size from the arcade stick for the Nintendo switch.
My joy sticks are on the right side with a shoe organizer.
Under the arcade stick there is my keyboard and mouse.
Down them is my little fridge.
Everything is connected with a hdmi splitter.
But didnt socket everything in only switch, and PC at the moment . and music boxes.
I'm gonna share it when it's full done still wanna do a few extra in it^^

When I get nintendo labo and build the fishing game, I will use it as a stand while laying down and charging.

Cardboard Kinda makes the most sense. because of nintendo labo being cardboard. if you also had that. then it would blend in nicly, do like the wooden one but it's got alot of floors that would probably just get annoying over time, and the black one fits the switch nicely, but probably would just get a play stand instead of it

I bought a red version of the first one built in video (black one) and I love it but the rubber bands don’t last, which sucks... I need to buy more of those weird small clear ones to repair it :-]

Hi there, I love it. I use it as my 'go to' computer when I want to google something. Sometimes it makes an appearance in my videos if I need to show something on the internet or do something on Windows 10. I can't really think of anymore videos to do on it at the moment :-)

Black is cool
Black one is the best one... The cardboard is too expensive and it falls apart easily and as he said the r d controller slides out and it won't hold the swicht so we'll, it's not safe and I wouldn't trust the cardboard with a 300 dollars device. The wood one is also cheap because the swicht could fall out easily and then the whole thing it self could fall apart. The black one is stable, it holds the swicht very well and it's very solid, if ur gonna get one of these get the black one.

hi !! i have a question
so ihave this phonecable coming out from wall at my room which is a phone cable and i plug it on modems back (vdsl) and it sometimes stops working like internet goes off for few seconds or gets so lagy and high ping, my friend told me that the cables inside wall must be damaged, so i wantto get a new cable and make a new line from phone box at outside of door to my room for modem.
so the thing im wondering here is that which cable i should use normal phone cable + rj11 jak or should i use cat6 cable and put rj11 on it instead of rj45, leght of cable will be around 15 meter and few meter of it will be on outside of house cus my room is at second floor and phone box is at below
(i live in forest so we dont have fiber here yet i have 16mbps internet)

question 2 does heat and cold effect these cables ? if so prbly cat 6 better cus its thicker and have more protection to weather
