Guide on how to remove the front seat, on a Seat Leon Mk3 (5F), models 2013-2019.
*ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATTERY BEFORE DOING ANY AIRBAG OR ELECTRICAL WORK*
Models years: 2013 / 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 / 2019
The model in the video has 3 electrical connectors on the underside of the seat (seatbelt warning, airbag, heated seats).

We believe so yes. Different seats may have different options such as heated seats etc.

Can the front seats be replaced with examples from the sister MQB cars? (e.g. any audi A3 or a VW Golf)

Most golf 7 parts are also compatible with seat Leon 3, but check that for sure on forums where ppl did try this before

Does the battery have to be disconnected before the front seats are removed?

Yes, we would always recommend disconnecting the battery if you are unplugging the connectors under the seat.
