@@passionfruityoghurt8293 He could have A-10 and be putting you on AA. He could have 3-3. He could have any random bluff because he didn't 5 bet the Kings. But being that Garrett 4 bet his hand you can put him on A-A. Getting 7 to 1 on a call I think it's a great fold but not a profitable fold in the long run. People always act like a good fold is easy when it's not because good players go for big bluffs. Folding J-J there getting 7 to 1 is not profitable at all it's actually a bad fold long term if you do the math

Andy didn't 5-bet. K-K is a clear 5-bet to see where you stand in the hand. No one 6-bet you with Q-Q and will almost always 6-bet you with A-A. So if someone doesn't 5-bet me I may not put them on K-K.

Crazy how much more depth gets added to the game of poker when stack sizes get super super deep. I’m just an everyday 1-2 nlhe player and anytime I end up with a boat, the money is going all in no matter what(assuming the boat is made with you holding a pocket pair and hitting a set and the board pairing up). The 7777 hand care 44477 hand was a great example of how mega deepstack poker is a whole nother animal vs your average 150-200BB nlhe game. If I had jons 4s full vs quad 7s at the river at my local casino game, it’s an automatic mandatory value raise, and in this video we see Jon not even think about it and just flat calls the river bet.
It’s crazy how much tighter stack off ranges get once you’re playing super deep. This is why it’s so important to play against weak opposition. I remember last year I got in a hand in 1-2 nlhe playing $1000 effective starting the hand. I got 9h6h on the button and action limps to me preflop, I also limp $2. Sb completes and BB checks. I flop a gut shot straight flush draw. Checks around. Turn is a complete brick. Bb bets $10, I call and sb calls. I river the straight flush. Sb bets $15, bb raises and thinks about it for so long(a live tell that I perceived was that bb had the ace high flush based on how confident he looked). Bb raises to $85. Board is unpaired with 3 to the straight flush on the board, I have the straight flush. I decide to go with my read that bb has the ace high flush and snap jam for $990ish effective with the bb. Sb tanks for a good minute and folds. Bb actually tanks for about 5 minutes then says “I must be crazy that I’m actually thinking about folding the ace high flush here” and throws one chip in. I roll it over and bb looks disgusted and asks me how I could get so much with that hand, don’t you wanna make sure you get the call? I tell him that I had a feeling that he had the 2nd nuts against my stone cold nuts and that I felt if there was ever a spot to overbet jam river for $1000 effective at 1-2, this was the spot. I can’t stop smiling as scoop a $2000 pot at 1-2. Moral of the story is, once you’re 500 BBs deep, you gotta be super cautious with what you stack off with. Even if you have the literal second nuts and you get reraised all in, is your opponent one to overplay a hand weaker than yours when playing that deep?

DID ANYONE NOTICE after the big hand, garret raise - folded 9-5 off suit and would've flopped a gutter vs another SET OVER SET (44v77) and then he would've turned the straight with the 6 on the turn?!?! Garret's face is like WTF UGH!! Smiling and laughing. However, both players did and would've rivered a full house.

Rory Callan sorry I edited . Meant raise shove on river - I think with so little behind raising as a bluff is close to 0%. Only worse hand that might jam on the river is ATs. It’s a correct fold based on action tho I wouldn’t have faulted Garrett for calling due to pot odds.

Set over set becomes quads over boat. Reminds me of a scene from Vince Van Patten's "The Picasso Flop" where one player has trip aces, the protagonist trip deuces, and a third turns a straight at the turn. The river hits the case deuce, and then it gets rough.
