- In this video, Rob and I do an overnight trip on the Klickitat Trail. This trip wasn't anything spectacular but we had a great time and got to explore some new areas. Best of all, most of day 1 was riding with a tailwind!

The part where your buddy has wine instead of beer made me proud to be from WA. Thanks for making a video that shines a spotlight on the fact that any day outdoors with friends is a great day. Columbia wind at your back makes you feel like a superhero. Such beautiful county.

I hiked the trail down into swale canyon back around 2010. Beautiful area. I saw a cougar and came home with ticks so I never went back but watching this video makes me want to see the rest of the trail

Really appreciate the opening narrative on this one. I think I've definitely fallen into the trap of feeling like a new story or upload is "unworthy" if it's not bigger and better than the last. This is a great reminder that it doesn't need to be. Excellent trip!

On our trips there is always something not going as planned. Dynamic route management is the word. Also the beer struggle is well known to us 😂
Take a trip south and come to AZ. Winter riding here is amazing! Tombstone is always a great trip.

Good stuff guys. I think its good to just have a chill trip now and again, gives you an opportunity to enjoy the small moments instead of always trying to meet a deadline and get somewhere in a hurry. Nice video and good stuff with the wine Rob know your priorities on a bikepacking trip ( I would have done the same thing ). Looking forward to your bike-pack raft trip.

Hah, yeah April can be a mixed bag for us, we get some good days and some rubbish days. It's been really wet out here lately so crossing my fingers for some decent weekends in April!

Another great one! Say, what size tires are you guys running? I have a Surly ECR with 29X3s and an Ogre with 29x2.5s and I go back and forth with myself as to which I like better. Actually, I prefer the 3.0s until I have to climb! Curious what you guys run.
You can fit a full bottle of wine in a Klean Kanteen steel water flask. I've done it. It works so well. 😆

I met a guy at a party a few weeks ago that works for that wine company. He said they received thousands of defective cans and some got shipped and the rest had to be opened, poured out and canned again.
The funny part is that I was working construction in 1985 and helped build that can manufacturing plant. I was so young and that job almost killed me.
I took the money I made, left the Bay Area, went up to Portland and partied that whole summer.

Great video as all of yours are. Do you have a gps track as I have ridden the route but spent more time on 14 than I wanted to.
No ticks? I was having ptsd trauma watching you guys ride through that tall grass knowing how bad the ticks are in that area. Swale canyon and Dalles Mt are nice that time of year though.
