I love tomato bisque, I reconstitute it with a can of milk, and add a pat of butter, I’ve never done it any other way 😊

I make the tomato bisque with milk instead of water. Makes a world of difference. Creamy and delicious. Plus, with other condensed soups, I never add the full can of water. I only fill it about 3/4 full.

My question is why add water & not milk instead to Tomato soup & any other cream of soups like Cream Mushroom, Cream of Chicken & so on.

Mom always made with half can water and half can milk. As I graduated to cooking by myself, I went full can and WOW.
I love Campbell soup. I will continue to buy it. I don't like potatoes or anything else. Chicken mushroom, love it. I grew up on it.
My uncle, an Army Mess Sergeant, once stationed at Ft Dix, NJ was invited to a VIP tour of the Campbell's plant, in Camden, NJ, along with the post's most senior food service professionals. On his return, he swore off Campbell's products for life. No idea what he saw... he never talked about it... But it must have been pretty bad, to rattle an Army cook.

I use water! Its good with a dash of cumin and turmeric. And it will cure a cold.
I use water and my wife prefers milk. We have to make two cans. When I was young (I'm 76 now) my mother made it with milk. When I got in high school the cafeteria used water and I found that I preferred the taste there over my mothers and I've using water ever since.

Always have Campbells tomato soup in the cupboard - it's such a handy ingredien t to add into pasta meals for the kids - fab with tinned tuna and mixed herbs, mix that up, add cooked pasta and top with cheese sauce. Very yummy. Great in spag bol too.
Apparently I'm one of few people that eat Cream of Mushroom Soup as soup.

When it comes to canned tomato soup, I buy what's on sale. I've always been in the habbit of adding my own fresh or dried herbs and spices to bland canned soups. 😉🍜🍅🍅🍅🍅

Every can of condensed or chunky Campbells soup I've checked is now made with GMO ingredients. They try to hide it with very small print.

What are you talking about. I love Campbell’s tomato soup. I’m not crazy about mushroom. I recommend making mushroom soup from scratch. No comparison to canned.
The mushroom wasn't meant to be eaten straight, it's a casserole ingredient.

The very best "sauce" to use when cooking Golompki is Campbells Condensed Tomato soup and some water - although a little less than equal amounts. The sweet taste is what makes the Polish Stuffed Cabbages their special taste - and I could not do it any other way (Store brand is not good enough though) - I also make a lot of various recipes of casseroles that call for some type of Campbells Cream of "something" soup - either chicken or mushroom and the like. One of my quick recipes involves cooking chicken parts in Cream of Chicken soup in the Microwave that you would never guess came from a Microwave. I have even used Cream of Chicken soup when making Turkey Pot Pie when I do not have enough real gravy left. Thankfully these food snobs are not in line to stop the production of the soups- they sell too well - they must be doing something right.
I serve it frequently with oat milk instead of water. Delicious!

For Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup, you don't have to add water to it. It's perfect already.

Bisque tastes metallic due to high acid in pieces of tomato.
Right now the worst is what they have done to cream of mushroom. It is brown and looks like gravy It’s terrible but you have no way of knowing which you are buying the cans look the same until you open it. What’s up with that?

I stopped buying everything Campbell's once they started putting soy in all of their canned foods. I'll make my own soups from now on without the chemical crap of soy lecithin in all of its incarnations.

I used to buy there soups but now it being bioengineered I stopped buying it!If it's bioengineered I will not buy it.
I quit buying Campbell's soup because they ruined it by adding bioengineering ingredients which are bad for a person.

What a subjective review. We didn't like the color. We didn't like the texture. We didn't like the taste. We thought it was too thin. The only quantitative measure in this review is the sodium level. Other than that this whole review is a matter of opinion. Some of the issues can be solved by creative preparation. For example use milk instead of water. This poorly based review throws any other reviews by Mashed Food out the window.
