The selling is far better in All Stars, also the camera cuts and VFX are top notch which adds to the over the top action
Personally, I believe that All Stars is so much more better than Battleground. The gameplay and action from THQ feels so much more unique than what 2K has made.

You notice how you got numerous options for basic grapple attacks and signature moves for superstars and Legends alike? Battlegrounds is moveset is based on wrestling style and SuperStar Class and everyone in whatever class has the same basic moveset.@@JD-nm9jn

WWE All stars just feels more satisfying when doing finishers and signatures
Plus it also helps that the characters (as beefed up as they are) actually look like they would in real life

Own both games! All stars feel like a wrestling version of a fighting game, is super fun, and is really awesome...
Battlegrounds I much more of an arcade wrestler, wayyyy bigger roster, and really fun in its own way.
I love both games and prefer not to try to compare them because they feel like they are separate game genres.

What i love is how All-Stars, an older game for last gen had stomach breathing animations while so many next gen games STILL don't have that effect.

All Stars easily, Battlegrounds feels too jank, they don't flow fluidly and they lack impact. All Stars put much more effort into their animations

@@SeelkadoomandJokic00 the games development didn't begin in March thus why the likes of the OC and Alicia Fox are in the game.. There's no excuses, hell the likes of Aleister Black don't even have their finishers in the game while Allstars had much more flashy and designed animations and on top of the roster having 4 sigs (which may be excessive even without BGs roster size) and finisher. Then there's the general moveset that are too copy and paste from talent to talent. The game has a lot of fun pros but also too many blatant cons.
@@cmpork7145 oh trust me I get'cha, but it's clear that it was still in development this year, I say this because the trailer and & the current product has some noticeable differences, like the female rosters heads are smaller than they were in the trailer, turnbuckle logos, and such. Still, the copy paste stuff is no excuse. And they fact there is only one damn song that plays in the menu, it gets annoying.

All Stars all the way. Battlegrounds I like some additions like the front flip on the Boom Drop and Skull Crushing Finale but the animation feels lazy, weak and rather inaccurate to the move. Jake’s DDT is more of a Butterfly DDT and the Cobra Clutch barely even lasts. He just gets into it and throws the opponent like he can’t be bothered. The sell is a lot better in All Stars as well.
Jake Roberts is awesome - Making money from WWE and AEW.
Man, I don't much care for either Stunner for Battlegrounds or All Stars, because this would have been the perfect opportunity for them to bring back the Stone Cold Stunner the way The Rock sold it - definitely should have a little spin to the animation and send the opponent flying!

Battlegrounds truly feels like a watered-down version of All Stars. All Stars gameplay was a blast and I always thought it was an underrated game.
They could have just gone for a sequel to All Stars as everything was better back then: animations, character design (wrestlers in Battlegrounds are awful), content, selling, impact, "lack of gravity", etc.
Hell, you can't even land a spear/rko/trouble in paradise/etc. out of nowhere anymore, like you could in All Stars, and it was one of the funniest feature of the game
The only improvement i could see in battlegrounds is the skull crushing finale

All Stars definitely has more impact, but I'm kinda feeling Battlegrounds midget-style models more, because the overly muscular, small-headed models in All Stars always looked creepy to me... So, I dig more in Battlegrounds they have them in those toy packages for the wrestler selection... THAT is awesome, excellent concept, I'm actually hoping they polish other areas of the game in a sequel, because I see potential here! If they can tweak their animations a bit more and get that hard-hitting shockwave animations like All Stars, I may consider purchasing next time.👍

When it comes to finisher animations this game is just a combination of ALL STARS and WWE MAYHEM.

I'm actually really torn at the moment, they are both fantastic arcade games in there own right. Unfortunately though I do think All-Stars pulled off the game a little better with more moves & easier control's. Absolutely love playing both games at the moment.
The Rockbottom animations look so similar, both really only have the Rock jump high and slam them so hard they flip backwards to their belly - identical animations, but I'd give the edge to Battlegrounds.
All Stars should have been a series. It was a breath of fresh air for wrestling games. It was like action figures to me when it first came out.

I personally think the transitions into the specials r more smoothly pulled off in Battlegrounds. However, All Stars has the cooler animations to me personally.
The moves just feel and look a bit more impactful and something about the slow mo is pulled off better. Again, these r just my opinions🤷♂️
I like both but in all honesty I think Battlegrounds is better. The things you can interact with and all that really add to the game in my opinion.

Battlegrounds has this interesting wind up but it takes away so much by making the move so fast and giving it that stupid little "thump" whereas All stars makes it a visual feast with the slow-motion and the colours and the satisfying sound of someone actually getting slammed
