- President Cyril Ramaphosa's legal review of the Section 89 independent panel report on Phala Phala is almost ripe for filing.
He's tackling the report on the basis that the panel considered information which didn't constitute evidence.
Well-placed sources confirmed to Newzroom Afrika that Rampahosa will also argue that retired chief justice Sandile Ngcobo, former judge Thokozile Masipa, and senior advocate Mahlape Sello, erred and went beyond their proper scope.
ANC veteran Prof Mathole Motshekga, Patriotic Alliance deputy president Kenny Kunene, and anti-apartheid activist Dr Allan Boesak weigh in on the development.
