I grew up with a guy like that. His dad is my uncle's best friend. And this guy had plenty of fights. No bullshit, I don't ever recall hearing him lose one fight. Just a natural badass.

arn was no joke. my uncle went to a show in asheville nc at the civic center in early 80 something or another with some of his buddies and a couple of our family members. its an hour drive so by the time they get there most everyone of them were damn near drunk. arn was there with ole(i think)in a tag team match. while they were walking to the ring my uncle and my dad were giving them hell and arn and ole were giving it right back. so they go do the match and on the way back same thing as before except this time my uncle had reached capacity of liquid courage. lol so of course the next logical step my uncle decided take was over the rails straight at arn . lol this is when my uncle found out that even though wrestling is fake that doesnt mean wrestlers are faking as well! lol arn beat the daylight savings time out of my uncle asbuddies and two other family members looked on and cheered for arn! lol

I loved Bischoff story that they wanted to release him in WCW but no one wanted to do it so he kept working anyways. And when he'd have to book the guys, if he thought they'd get agro, he'd bring Haku with him to make sure no one got sassy

There's fighting and then there's crazy. When you're going after eyes, noses, and ears, that's just nuts.
It’s crazy to me how these old wrestlers were so flippant and casual about eyes being torn out and stomped on. Like someone spills a beer in a bar or mouths off, so that warrants his eyes being gouged out by Haku and spending the rest of his life disabled and friggin BLIND. They make it sound like a fractured finger.

I wonder how he’d have fared against Mike Tyson? Haku is tough as nails, but there are definitely fighters who possess the skills set to defeat him in one-on-one combat. The question is if those other fighters would be willing to risk losing an eye, nose, ear, or other body parts in the process.

Haku is a behind the scenes legend at being a true bad ass. Probably one of the most feared wrestlers ever.
Haku gave Harley his last match. And even Harley said Haku was tougher than him.
Harley's last competitive year was around 1990. He wrestled in early 1991 and substituted for Vader against Flair in 1993 in a few house shows. Harley probably should've retired in the mid 80's. He was well past his prime when he debuted as the king in WWF. I think financial circumstances were the factors that led him to wrestle well into his 40s.
Haku is more famous outside the ring than in. Love his stories he tells and being told

I remember reading a story where Haku was in bar, and guy was talking about how fake wrestling is, kept on apparently, to the point where Haku was so pissed, he bit the guys nose off. Harley Race, is apparently another wrestler who you didn't want to mess around with.

King Tonga was great during his run in Puerto Rico back in the early 80s.
There was a guy in another video comment section that was claiming he'd say whatever he wanted to to Haku's face. I was like yeah....sure ya would 😂

I think that's just because he loves it. Same for Tito Santana, they both have steady jobs that pays their bills but they still have the wrestling bug so they wrestle on the weekends. I really doubt it's for financial reasons, I mean all 3 of his kids are pretty big stars and I'm sure they'd take care of dad if he needed it

And he was Bad News Brown too. He challenged Andre to a fight when he heard him saying something racist when they were on tour in Japan. He told the bus driver to pullover, Brown got off the bus wanting to fight but Dre didn’t get up and just sat there, Bad New got back on the bus and they continued the tour

I met Animal in a Burger King after the Summer Slam at Wembley in London and what you notice about him is just how big a mak he was. Honest to God, his arms were as wide as an average man waist. He was really cool and took time to talk to me ( 7 years old ) and my dad. When he realised we were Scottish he said the Piper was coming soon of we wanted to see him.

if anyone wants to see the real haku, watch the john tenta dark side of the ring. haku sees the shockmaster for the first time and laughs so hard. He also cries for his friend. I would have loved to have known this man.

I heard 2-3 months ago during a an interview, Haku was the strongest, most violent man, if you crossed him, very few, if any ever did.
Haku was a very nice and humble man, but if you got on his wrong side well that was pretty much it for you
