- I don't wanna know you're name
'Cause you don't look the same
The way you did before
Okay, you think you got a pretty face
But the rest of you is outta place
You looked alright before
(Chorus): Fox On The Run, you're scream and everybody comes runnin'
Take a run and hide yourself away
(Foxy on the Run)
F - Foxy
Fox On The Run
And hide away
You, you talk about just every band
But the names you drop are second hand (second hand)
I've heard it all before
I don't wanna know you're name
'Cause you don't look the same
The way you did before
(Chorus)
Fox On The Run (repeat until fade) - Hudba

Dazed and Confused brought me here! 👍👍
Reminiscing about being 14 when this song came out and all the girls I wanted who loved this song, brought me here!
It’s been almost twice as long since the release of Dazed and Confused to now as it was between the time the movie is set in and its release.

This is one of the best songs on the planet!!
This was my first "adult" music record. I was 8yrs old and I had this and Pat Boone "Speedy Gonzalez" in my collection. I love the B-side of this 45, "Burn on the Flame" too!!! What a time to be a kid. Soon after, it was Black Sabbath and KISS!
We had it on RCA and the B-side was a track was called 2Miss Demeanour,"
Was 7, same thing!! Miss the sound and even smell of vinyl records.
I'm not from the Era but I lived it. Here's the track. Speaks for itself. Well done lyrics and music.
I'm 40,jammed this when I was 13, and it's still a classic!! Love this song!
One of the best bands ever!!
I first heard this on a radio station in Chicago in '75. Loved it ever since.
First heard this on Ca's KLOS 95.5 and KMET 94.7 whooya!

i was 7 when this came out,,, but i didnt hear it where i could remember it till after i was 12
One of my brother's most favoured records. He wasted no time in buying it in 1975 when it came out, but around 1977 it got broken. You can imagine the expletive that came from his mouth when he found it had succumbed. I managed to get it again in 1981 and he was chuffed again.
As an eldest brother and eldest cousin on both sides, just want to compliment you for being a great sibling
This takes me back to elementary school in the 1970's. Brings back great memories
A friend of mine placed on this underrated masterpiece when we were driving to a waterpark this summer...been obsessed ever since.❤ Harrison, if you're reading this, I owe you many thanks😂😊
The Black Phone got me here
I can listen to this song 24 hours a day!
Love this song and when it appeared in the black phone i was so happy
Vance Hopper approves this!
1975. I was eleven years old in Austin Texas and always

Oh I know how you feel I live in Austin everytime I think of this song I think of dazed and confused.

40 years later and still playing the guitar and still trying to write a song as good as Fox on the Run. Maybe in another 40 years . . .
I played this 45 into the ground as a kid

I saw Sweet live - playing in front of basically nobody at the Universal City City Walk mall north of LA !! I couldn't believe it

That’s awesome or should I say “that’s sweet”?!!! 😂

@@gordocarboyou are the man!!! Not the same amount of talent in the biz today
How is this band so forgotten? Why did they quit? They were so great.
Their popularity simply faded from view by 1979 in the US after the hit "Love Is Like Oxygen". By then, the glam/disco era was fading out and being replaced by New Wave. Sweet may have remained popular in Europe until they broke up in the mid-1980's.
They had a big influence on The Cars and Cheap Trick
@@zack6701 Yes they were and they did have a big influence on the other metal and New Wave bands from the late 70's. They were considered glam musicians, even though they were sometimes unfairly pegged as a bubblegum group (for songs such as "Co-Co" and "Little Willy"), but really, when you hear songs like "Blockbuster" and "Man From Mecca", it sounds like Glam-Metal.

Remembering Steve Priest born on February 23, 1948. He was an English musician who was the bassist (and, later, co-lead vocalist) of the 1970's glam rock band Sweet. In January 1968, Priest was invited to form a four-piece band with vocalist Brian Connolly, drummer Mick Tucker, and guitarist Frank E. Torpey - the band that was to become The Sweet. Torpey was replaced by Mick Stewart in July 1969. Guitarist Andy Scott joined in August 1970, following Stewart's departure and the classic line-up was established. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Priest
Wow! Cool tidbits to learn, thanks for posting.
TBP WAS WHERE I FOUND THOS SONG. NOW ITS MY FAV SONG EVERR
"this isnt a regular helicopter tour" david dobrik
Hey, you are David's fan? Would you help me? I am looking for a song that Jason's son was learning to play on piano in one of Jason's vlogs. It's really old, propably 70s, 80s. I think Jeff was the first of the group that posted the song on Ig stories?
That's where I found this song
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA LEGEND
Wtf is this comment?
Idk what the f*ck you mean but thumbs up anyway.
I got "Desolation Blvd." a few years after it came out. To this day, it's one of the best albums I've ever heard. This was a very special band. Horribly underrated.

50 years !
For someone who was born in the eighties, if it wasn't for the movie dazed and confused I would never had known this song existed.
My mom and dad showed me dazed and confused when it came out, I was 7. My older sister was probably just starting to party and I remember asking my dad if that is what the 70's was like. He had a huge grin and was like YEP. A very cool era.
I remember hearing this on Detroit rock city!!🤘 such a classic movie!
Chicago '75.
First time I ever listened to top 40 with Kasey Kasem during the mid 1970s...this was a top 10 hit. Why did this group disappear? They were really good.
Sadly three out of the four are no longer with us, Mark.
CASEY KASEM!? SHAGGY!?
Thank you ❤
Just discovered this song tonight, sure beats today's music.
It really does
This song gets mentioned towards the end of the second episode of highly enjoyable series Poker Face
If there is a better start to a song I haven’t heard it.
Excellent tune
if a vlog sent you here, you're not here for the right reason
What about a Fallout 4 Radio Music mod or Guardians of the Galaxy
That weird sound at the beginning is what a spiral sounds like
Intro very similar to Van HAlens Dancin in the streets
Rolling on skates at the Rink 😎 with lisa M. 😁❤
The black phone brought you here :)
This is my favorite song
Just discovered this....why did it take me so long to get to this song? Doesn't matter because I'm here now!
Agreed!! Better late than never. Now that you’re here, go back and listen to Sweet’s original album version from the previous year (1974). It’s TOTALLY different. This version is a remake from 1975 which became an international hit. It’s the more pop oriented version. The original is done in a harder rock style. You will be one up on most people, who don’t even know it exists!
I'm just imagining Tails dancing in his bedroom by himself while listening to this song on headphones at full volume
I love this song!! ❤️💋

I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH. WHEN I HEARD IT IN THE BLACK PHONE I SCREAMED SO LOUD-
I loooooove this song dudes lol foreva
This first hit in the UK in 1974. It took nearly a year later to hit in the US, as The Sweet negotiated a new US deal with EMI/Capitol, but when it finally hit, it hit big. I first heard this one in late 1975 at Donelli's Pizza Restaurant, a pizza place in Lake Orion, Michigan which is on Michigan Highway M-24 (which stretches from Pontiac to Union City, Michigan) & Greenshield Road by Bald Mountain Park & beach. Today the place is a G's Pizzerea.
March 1975 in the UK
This song has possibly the best intro ever to a song
It's great, yes, but I give that distinction to the Raspberries' "Go All The Way." Thing just explodes out of the speakers.
Got to throw "Hot For Teacher" and "Mr. Crowley" in there too
