Some of these train station(s)/tracks/scenery look SO clean unlike most other videos of Indian Railways I saw! They must be taking very good care of things there- where were these videos taken? (I'm guessing that its in Gujarat since I see "Vadodara" on some of the trains, plus I see a milk-tanker at the end of a train (Ahmedabad-Howrah Express?) In any case, another very nice video - thank you!

How much horse power do the locomotives have? They carry a ton of passenger cars.
More than 1500 Horsepower.
I actually googled it and found out they have an average of 5678 hp. I could be wrong :D, google is so random
The average that I rounded is 6000.

+InactiveAir The electric locomotives in Indian railways ranges in between 4500hp to 6350hp.
AC locomotives WAP1, WAP4, WAP5, WAP7 are for passenger service while WAG5series, WAG7, WAG for freight.
Diesel locomotives are in power ranges between 2000hp to 5000hp.
WDM2 is 2000hp diesel loco which used to be the back bone of IR when diesel engine were introduced in 1950s, now they are converted to 3100hp. WDM3D and WDG3A are loco in 3100hp range,
WDP4, WDG4, WDP4B, WDP4D, WDG4D comes in 4500hp group and WDG5 with 5000hp.
More Heavy duty diesel locomotives are in pipeline to come for freight dedicated service.

highspeed? you know the definition of this word? i always laughing about indian discriptions of the word "highspeed". Trains going under 200 kph arent highspeed. The indian railway system need to be transformed for a usual travelling speed of 160kph like in germany, but this vision is too far away
i know that yes,) it shouldnt be a negative post, but you know if Indian railways plans to build highspeed routes in india? ive heard about a connection between Indian railways and sncf for letting drive tgvs on it some years ago. and they prefer sped about 250 kph. but dunno if they followed that plan
