Had a C-section almost a week ago. No one prepares you for the pain! Watch out for constipation and take plenty of fluids and stool softener- learnt that the hard way. I have pain flare ups and soreness but getting slightly better as days go on.
Keep up mamas, we just had our bellies cut open and no one should expect us to be miracle workers around the house. Much love❤

Same here. Had a c section 9 days ago and oh the worst week of my entire life. I can’t even get out of the bed without someone helping me out. It’s day 9 now and ngl the pain is dying down. But still I’m not recovered yet. Can walk slowly. Can’t bend. Can’t sleep on sides. Can’t even dress pants alone, someone has to help them up for me.

I had my second c section 2 weeks ago. The first time I had it I felt SO wrecked! It took a few weeks before I felt remotely able to do anything "normal". The second time, maybe because it was planned and not an emergency, I feel pretty good 2 weeks in. A lot of it for me is mental healing too, but now I'm pushing myself more and that's not good either! Gotta take it slow and be patient and rest as much as possible l. Hard to do with a toddler too!

When I came home after the caesarean section I had to take care of the guests, the house and the baby, the visitors came every day as part of the habits and I was exhausted and not sleeping, I think I am still suffering from postpartum depression and I have not found support

That’s so sad. Could you and your partner not tell visitors to wait? That’s what we’ve done. I had my twins two weeks ago and have told all family and friends that I do not want any of them in our faces for at least a few weeks.

I’m sorry to hear that😢, I am 5 day post cesarean this is my second one after couple of year, this time is feel very bad too much pain and whole body swelling, Bladder incontinency , some friends have asked to visit but I am not ready fisically and emotionally to receive guesses or visitors or family, I am not feeling well to deal with anybody, all I do is to take care the baby bcuz she needs me, but partner has been very helpful and my other child as well, most of the time the baby is sleeping, she barely cry or makes noises, but I am exhausted since pregnancy working full time and doing stuff, 😢 can’t wait until time goes by soon and get through this healing process.

It'll get better! I was the same way. I don't think I slept in my bed for about a month after my c section, I slept in my recliner instead because getting down and up was horrible. I wasn't going to comment until I saw you had commented just two days ago but I just wanted to say you're not alone and I know the pain is so visceral for you but you will be alright. Every day it will hurt less and less and you'll come back to yourself.

This was an issue that I brought up to the nurses as well. A lesson on ‘how tos’ after c section should be a must! This was my fourth delivery…first three were vaginal and my last one was emergency c section. I had no clue how to lie down or get up or even move . At one point I was sure I felt warm liquid draining from the inside or a tear of some sort by trying to get up. I didn’t know how to explain it without sounding weird so I just cried it out. Listen to your body!! I don’t even attempt to lie on my side, I just sleep partially sitting up in bed or going to my recliner. Congratulations to all new mommies out there!! You are amazing ✨✨✨✨

With my first c section a nurse who was much older showed me how to use a soft compression band which helped tremendously to keep everything from feeling like it was going to tear. It eased getting up. Hospitals really need to do a better job of getting info to new moms of c sections
