Meltzer reported that TK was working on this gimmick for 5 years. He was waiting for the right Luchador to sign.
He literally has at least a dozen Luchadors on his roster at any given time in the past 5 years.
Who can do the exact same thing, as this hologram.
This company and its fans give a new meaning to the word "delusional".
I think Meltzer got confused. This seems more like Tony had been "working" on that gimmick since he was five years old.
Seriously, this is every bit as bad as every other time any company tried this, whether it was Max Moon in WWE, the many faces of Brad Armstrong in WCW or that time TNA put Christopher Daniel in a Spawnderpool costume to promote this new character as the main protagonist of a video game.

Then Spawnderpool grew twice in size and said "See! I'm stood with Daniels, he wasn't me!", then left, then came back, then changed their name to Manik, then for no reason whatsoever Hogan revealed them as TJ Perkins, but then they eventually went back to being Manik.
What a career for the legendary character.
Tony Khan watched NXT, saw the success of Axiom, and was like "I can do that!" But I'll make him like Glacier or Max Moon.

I once visited the set of The Price is Right and to my surprise the stage was a lot smaller than I imagined. A camera operator told me that the stage looked bigger on TV because of the rising bleachers. Audience members on the bleachers fill up the dead space on screen and add to the effect.
When did you visit? I think it might have been a bigger stage in the past. They'd have a large game set and room to play it, and drive a car out onto the other side of the stage. But recently it looks like the set is just barely big enough for the show.
Looking it up now, they moved to a different studio in 2023, maybe that's a factor. A photo from a new episode makes the stage look pretty big though... so I have no idea at this point

@@bobdonda The CBS studio where the (Barker-era) Price is Right was filmed was huge. It was later sectioned off into multiple smaller studio spaces.

I love the spot where Gringo Loco was on the outside and Hologram ran to the opposite and did a dive while Gringo watched and moved over to get in the proper spot to catch him. It was shameful.

His entire moveset is so contrived. It wasn't quick moves out of nowhere, Gringo Loco was just standing there and watching him at times for literally a few seconds while he did his flips and jumps so Loco could then catch him afterwards.

The hologram mask wasn't very flashy or impressive. The name is lame. But I will say that he is lightyears better than komander. If you're a fan of lucha he's actually pretty good.

Had to see this match, at least a minute of it. About a minute in some dude in the audience yelled, "lookout, its a holigram!". That was pretty funny. I had enough. Came back to finish this clip.
SinCara had a better entrance. & these characters should have full body suits like Sucide did. I mean, Goldust is RIGHT THERE, copy & paste him. But since AEW is working with Warner, just reboot Blood Runs Cold with modern guys doing Glacier, Mortis & Wrath. Get some AEW guys in Mortal Kombat as skins & MK skins in AEW: Fight Forever
