The only problem is it is meant to follow a book series but doesn't follow it at all. Which is one of the reasons it got cancelled

I can't believe I didn't know about this show!!! I love Angie Harmon and Rizzoli & Isles. And I loved Paula Newsome on NCIS. I cried so hard when her character died. And the other chick, I recognized but I couldn't think of where I knew her from. So I googled her and she was in The Faculty. A movie I've seen like 50 times. lol Thanks so much for downloading these!!!

I’ve been a Huge Fan if James Patterson for many many years. The movie , The First To Die, with Tracy Pollan as Lindsey Boxer, Angie Harmon, & Robert Patrick was good in my opinion, and out around 2003 I believe, wish there would of been more of that book series made into movies. His Tv show Zoo was also good, it came out couple years ago with Billy Burke

The movie wasn't the best. We all love Angie Harmon As Lindsay boxer.

I know that I'm totally late about this BUT Janet Tamaro(R&I) casted GOOD when it came to actor Angie Harmon portraying an detective, to Tess Gerristen's crime-novel series...hmm! The rest of the cast also were perfect as well.... ☺☺
So, why didn’t this series have longevity?!? Even though this was Series 1 Episode 1, these players made it seem like they’d been a team for years! Did the serial killer theme start too early and last too long to be palatable? Or did the husbands get tired of viewing a mostly female cast? (I’m not into male bashing; I just know that my fella finds something else to do when “All Rise”, or “Miss Fisher”, or “Miss Marple”, comes on the screen.). I’ve ALWAYS liked Angie Harmon (a much more affable person, maybe, than Sandra Bullock?). AND, I’ve thought a mother / daughter team with Angie & Susan St. James would be a perfect match!
@@kkrolf2782 As with all Hollywood networks (especially all-female diverse cast) majority female casted shows, this shows ratings didn't make the cut, and so was canceled before the Season was over with...

Formula crime shows always give the watcher an unfair advantage in solving the crime. All you have to do is wait for the first actor with an appropriately high profile and a properly suspicious role; that's the guilty party. Case solved! This person generally appears with the first 5 minutes of the episode, but may not reappear until the last 10 minutes. That's why the visual appeal of the stars and repartee in the dialog are crucial to series longevity.

These girls are GOOD.
These young women remind me of the British show "Murder in Suburbia." There were only two seasons, 12 episodes (2004). (The Women's Murder Club, 2007.) The two detectives resemble the ones in "MiS", one blond with short hair and the other one with longer dark hair ... always talking about their relationships gone wrong, the boss is a good looking man and they fancy him (dark haired one gets him, I think); the way they talk and act is very similar to this show. The crimes and the detective work is quite interesting. Too bad the series did not last. I really enjoyed watching Murder in Suburbia and I like the WMC as well and just found in Spanish subtitles.

I don't know if I want to watch this after reading the books. And by reading some comments doesn't really follow the books. I read somewhere that James Patterson was reportedly displeased with how the show was handled. I see already...Lindsay Boxer is supposed to be blond...smh

This episode does explain a lot about Lindsay. I so wanted her to get back with Tom or either Simon (the EMT from episode 3). I feel like she needs a guy taller than her since she’s tall and wears heels. Do you know where else we can watch WMC if it leaves Tubi? Do you know where the unaired pilot can be watched?

Rizzoli in the TV series is actually a lot like Rizzoli in the Tess Gerritsen books, the only main different is she's meant to be quite short but obviously they couldn't shrink Angie
