You are a amazing mom Les, you couldn't have asked for a better partner and dad then Alex as well. My son was born deaf with a cleft lip and palate, we just found out he has Autism as well. Its a learning experience with it all, we are not perfect. We are human we make mistakes but again learn along the way. Baby G is handsome ,happy, healthy that's all you could have ever asked for. Never give up and always know your doing what you can, for your son!
My little baby girl didn’t walk until she was 16 months and there was lack of oxygen after birth but thank God she’s as normal as any other 5 year old. You’re an amazing mom! I enjoy watching you every time!

Not mom shaming but I have read in varies articles about toddlers getting bad whiplash in a car accidents (them facing forward). Maybe the comments didn't mean to shame maybe just inform. (I know us moms do research) but sometimes we rather say something than not say something and regret we didn't say anything . But anyways I love you les! 🙆🏽♀️💓💓💓💓

I wasn’t well-informed with my 1st either and after researching it’s not about weight or height but the fact their bones aren’t fused together properly until 2 to have a better chance at surviving a forward facing crash impact. Everything else is noise. I don’t think car seat safety is a parenting choice but everything else is! ☺️ I love Les tho she’s a great mommy. I hope she doesn’t take these comments wrong

I’m a mom of 4 (set of twins) sometimes I feel people are genuine in their advice, tips etc. I don’t always think it’s mom shaming. I think just because it’s commented over & over it starts to annoy the person. If we didn’t take advice, learn from others, take tips we would fail a lot & go through unnecessary issues. But I get there are people that just comment for unnecessary reasons & to be rude.
I do believe car seat issues shouldn’t be taken lightly. & in California the law is under two or over 40lbs or 40inches. Just because the instructions for the car seat says they fit the criteria that is not the law. The law overrides any manual. Brianna didn’t look up the law because it’s not 22lbs that’s just for her car seat. Even if the child is tall it’s safer to be rear faced. Follow safeintheseat on IG for all car seat laws & safety education on car seats.
If you go on the Texas dps it says children are better protected rear facing as long as possible. It also says once they outgrow the infant seat to move to a convertible seat still rear facing.
Yes car seat safety is a serious topic! And so many people are not educated on car seat safety and if people trying to inform others about it we’re “mom shaming”.
Most states have a law to rear face till age 2 but ideally kids should rear face until they max out the weight or height limit.

A rear-facing car seat will absorb most of the crash forces and supports the head, neck and spine. When children ride forward-facing, their heads - which for toddlers are disproportionately large and heavy - are thrown forward, possibly resulting in spine and head injuries.
This is the reason I choose not to forward face my baby.
