Knipex needs to come out with a multi tool. Yeah it may cost $200 but it would no doubt be awesome and help drive up the standards for the market.

  • @mjnz

Have a pair of the Engineers from several years ago. They are good for very specific scenarios but man, one small slip and they will blister your hand just like a Wave! I love the several Knipex tools I have but didn't know these existed. (Edit: I see now they are brand new). Will definitely be getting a pair.
Also agree about Knipex - very much worth the premium for all I own. I remember first time paying what I thought was a ridiculous amount for the piano wire cutters (I just use them as all purpose wire and coat hangar cutters) but 8 years later and still sharp, I would have paid twice as much. Now I have many Knipex tools and price is no longer a consideration.

Everyone laughs at me at work, I do apartment maintenance. They can't wrap thier heads around what my tools cost me, but once they try them they keep coming back. Knipex, wera and wiha are great tools. Wasn't a huge fan of wiha until recently picked up thier slimline torque screwdriver and the slimline pop-up screw driver, I wanna but the allen keys next

I recently discovered knipex pliers wrench and now I'm hook. I like your videos. I was actually in leatherman binge and I enjoyed your reviews on them. Then I realize you also have knipex reviews. I bought the 7" size pliers wrench bec. of your review and it was a perfect size for me to carry at work. I pair it with the surge. After buying my first knipex I bought this one and a cobra. So glad see to you review this one. I was thinking I might be able to use these at work too for those stripped screws/bolts.

I’ve carried the Snapon slip joint pliers for 7 years every day at work and home at times. They are starting to get worn out so I thought I’d shop around and try something new. I picked up these pliers and carried them for a month. I loved the vertical grooves on the end and the tooth set up. But the push button adjustment was not advantageous to one handed use or quick adjustments. The Snapon pliers have become my main carry again but if they create a three position slip instead of the button I’d definitely carry them again.

If you make your living using hand tools you can't go wrong with Knipex. They are very well made and oftentimes have unique features. Like most premium tools you need to keep them in a secure place whenever you work outside of a controlled environment. Good tools have a way of disappearing.

I like Knipex. These twin grips look good. I need to check them out. I have the Vampliers and they are awesome. Ironically, the best use for me turned was unexpected. I have used the Vampliers twice to get screws(a #10 and #12) out of tires in my car. I was going nuts trying to get them out until I remembered the Vampliers. Twisted them right out. Looks like Knipex would do likewise.

Found a set of the Vampliers on Ebay for just $35. Later searches found them at over $50. Love these pliers for their gripping ability. I work on old classic cars/trucks and there are always screws/bolts w/ rounded or corroded heads. Just worked on an old Corvair that seemed as if it were held together by the rust - Vampliers made easy (relatively) work of the many rusted out screws/bolts.
