I get that filming in the dark makes things a bit scarier but please director's, there's got to be a way of filming in the dark but still having enough light so that I can see the characters. You can give me all the jump scares you want but if I can't see the jump, I'm not scared

well you can always adjust your monitor/tv's gamma but you may see unwanted and unpleasant things forsure...
Yeah jump scares don’t do it for me. I find it to be a cheap way to get people going instead of just having good writing and actually scary movies.

our tv has filmmaker mode and vivid cant see nun while its dark in the movie on film maker but on vivid u see everything

I think the trick with Fallout will be to forget all the lore and take it as it's own cinematic universe.
You have all these suspenseful trailers and then suddenly see this super bright joyful Anne Hathaway love movie sneaking between these films/shows.
For me it is still a form of horror.....and having to sit through one of these abominations scares the living shit out of me.
What got me was the massive downer of the poor shark that is going to be demonized once more. Like the writer of 'Jaws', Peter Benchley, forever tried to undo the damage he'd done for the rest of his life --- creating this unnecessary fear that has allowed us to stand by while the majority of them get slaughtered to make tasteless soup.

Because you have. We are in the era of content, not movies. Very few of those have any artistic merit or anything original to say. It's fine, there's always been content movies. Jaws was content, good content but not meant as art. Now it's 90% content and sometimes real movies.

I don't know about you, but I'm completely SICK of remakes. With today's technology, the possibilities are endless. So there's no excuses for remaking the same old 💩. ... There's a few that looks good. SpiderWick, for sure. & We love Nickolas Cage, he can't do no wrong.😂

@@rendratvandonkereschrijver2912 If it's a different entire story than the original, they need to title it different as well. Example, The Stand, didn't tell the same story as the og. It changed tremendously but stuck to the basics. Like, the devil came to Earth and people died. So it was more of a spin off.

Whenever I have dreams related to that, it's always tape players and record players malfunctioning super loudly and everything is zoomed in and in red lighting.
I'm always indoors and can never find my mother(who is religious) and I never get to see the sky in my nightmares. Haven't had that nightmare in a while though, but I'm sure this comment will manifest it again soon lmao

The strangers is one of those for me that the more mysterious the better. It didn’t need a saga to to be creepy and effective as a horror. It checks the box of the eternal why when it comes to twisted human behaviours, that makes films better. In science in genera and psychology in particular, yes, digging into the why is preferable and most desirable but in fiction, too much exposition is not the best way to explore it. The cases that inspired it are still confusing and mysterious, that adds to the dread and experience of discomfort needed in the genre. The 2008 one is one of my favourites because it left me at the why, not knowing or not being able to understand shit, frightens me. “Because you were home” will be forever engraved as one of the most heavy and intense wtf reasons/explanations to the why of the whole mess they made and how they made it. The moments of silence and creepiness were so on point…
I had my doubts about Fallout when I first saw the trailer . But I ended up watching it and it was better then expected

Hollywood is creatively bankrupt, don't you know? Tokenized, sloppy seconds versions of existing white characters are much easier than actually being creative and coming up with original stories about non-white characters.

Don't know why we are remaking the Spiderwick Chronicles, the original was amazing with Freddie Highmore playing dual roles. A new version isn't necessary. I don't understand why a new version, with things that weren't in the book and changing the characters ages and all. Nope nope! And Michael Keaton deserves an academy award. He did that one movie and is working on Beetle juice 2
because we're well past remakes now......if it can be remade AND race swapped or gender swapped then the networks, streamers and studios will do it to add to their DEI catalogue and ESG score.
Anytime they do it I just go to the original source.
