I managed to score one for 150 with Apple Pencil plus LTE for 150 bucks in 2023. It’s still fairly speedy as well. Not a bad score

I would say phones today look lime an ipad not the other way around. Phones were made to be used as phone now they have been tablets that barelt fit in your pocket.

I genuinely don't understand videos asking if a product that's only a couple of years old is "still worth it" The answer is yes the fuck it is because if it was good a couple of years ago why would it not be fine now? I have parts in my PC that are like 7 years old and I still play games at 1440p just fine with generally high settings, we aren't talking like decades here.

the difference is iOS updates. i had a mini gen 2 and it help up for nearly a decade, but after it stopped getting support, it was severely handicapped. even safari wouldn't work great on it. this is not the case for PC parts (i'm still running a 4th gen intel i5). so the question that is being asked isn't "is it still good", but how long will it be good until you have to replace it.
