I can't lie am I the only one who finds the Wednesday box... Underwhelming? Like it looks really bland and too cramped, sorta still looks like a prototype
As someone who used to work at Target I can confirm that even if the employee wanted to they could not sell something before street date. It is programmed that when you try to ring something up before street date it will refuse the sale. That said it is uncommon to get product that early. The person could have asked what the street date was, as it will show that information if scanned on a handheld device that the employees have.
I'm in Canada...the good news is that toys r us is more expensive then all other retailers in Canada, so if she's on Amazon or a Walmart the price could only be $50...which is still bad...but not as bad.
She will be at least $55 initially, likely $60. Exchange rate is now 1.37, which makes $55, and they tend to add a bit. You are correct about Toys R Us having the highest prices, though.

As a customizer, I both LOVE and HATE that we're getting a new G1 body sculpt for a Skullector. I wish we had had a fuller figured g1 doll back when it was easy to get them so I could use that body in a custom!
Don't care about the Wednesday show, but the doll is so cute and I LOVE the earlier iterations of The Addams Family, so will most likely wind up getting her. Love Hocus Pocus too, but that's too much money.
I wish they were basing the Wednesday doll on Christina Ricci rather than Jenna Ortega, but maybe it kind of resembles both? Hard to say for sure until seeing the doll in person, I guess.
Wouldn't it be nice if people who find these dolls on shelves early would take the time to take a decent photograph of the doll? 😂 Like, a close-up, in focus, not far away and blurry, would be nice and you don't have to be a professional photographer to do that.
Imagine if the hocus pocus one's where the same case as the creature from the black lagoon,like,we don't have a lot of faith in them,and then when they come out they end up being one of the most drop dead gorgeous dolls ever lmao
"they should just let her buy the doll" i mean yeah it is just a toy, just a doll. not like a HOT HOT item. however i do wonder if these strict rules in place between retailer and manufacturer help negate the scalper practices. maybe this is their way of helping out

Im interested in the Wednesday x MonsterHigh dolls and it’s nice to know they are on the way. I am interested in the Sanderson sisters 3 pack if they really do release in stores and other places than only Mattel creations as the rumors have been, skullector dolls are so hard to get from that site. I hope those rumors are true and they sell well outside of Mattel creations so they could continue selling in this way and make skullectors more accessible
I hate the “oh their for lower income families!!” Excuse cause that just makes it worse, mattel showed they can make great dolls for a lower price with lines like day out
I agree with you but if I don’t bring up that argument the comments get spammed with it lol I think low income families/collectors deserve the same quality of the main line, like sure you can skimp on the hair (using poly) or make the clothes simple (a slip dress and reused heels, etc) but taking away articulation is a huge no
