- In this video, we cruise down to Van Nuys Airport in my 1965 Mustang. It was not only cool to see all the cars but also to see the Condor Squadron take off in their AT-6s. I have seen these WW2 planes fly over my house my whole life, so it was fantastic to see them up close. The cruise was hosted by Valley Cruise Night. I am sure they will set up the cruise again, so go give them a follow.

Man those old WWll Planes are a thing of beauty. Love hearing the sound of the old piston engines in those aircrafts. The cars were super nice too :)

I remember them flying overhead when I was young. The one painted up like a German fighter, and was torn down, used to fly in a group and solo when I was a kid in Granada Hills.
the Vought F4U is my favorite, it just has the most beautiful wing shape.
Pilots had balls of steel in those days. Used to love going to VN airport at that restaurant and watching them take off an land.
Sad kids laugh at flatheads those are true hot rods. 200hp in one of those buckets was hauling azz they weight next to nothing. Ill probably never get to own as I dont fit in much of anything being talll but love seeing them .
Love these old school, period correct hot rods. They are my favorite type of classic cars. Glad to see Southern California going back to its roots.

Jeeeesus! That greenish/blueish blown 32 (seriously, what color is it, I'm a bit colorblind! 😅) is absolutely gorgeous! That black one with the nr 9 painted on the door needs channeling though, I don't care how "authentic" it looks, ugly is ugly! 😅

The Helicopter pad at the north end of the field at Van Nuys is where they made the T.V. show Air Wolf in the 80's.
USed to go to the airshows with my dad when I was a kid. As time goes by Im appreciating those old planes.
Pilots were nuts back then. Grew up in old porter ranch

I rarely get a chance to go to events like that but they are really nice. It's doesn't have to be an all day event to have fun. I need to assemble my 37 oldsmobile and get out there. Great video! I was lucky enough to be at Bob’s Big Boy on a Friday night a few years ago when I was in SoCal. Some amazing cars were there including an original unrestored 427 Cobra! It was amazing!

The Deuce with the supercharged Olds in it says YES to me. Any time I see a cool rod without a generic bellybutton orange lump sbc in it, I get a bit happy in my pants.

I LOVE hot rods/old cars. But if I was one of the folks in my daily going somewhere and that wagon did that to me... Wow, just not cool. Definitely gives us old car guys a really bad rap.
