For future reference, Needham ag has a a neat installation/removal tool for those bushings. Also, an air hammer makes that job pretty slick. It pushes bushings and cleans the rock hard build up out all in one go!

lot of work there, bent over on your knees and crawling around. I'd be sore the next day from all that. need is the mother of invention and I liked how you pressed the bushings out. neat way you came up with of getting the dirt out too. always happens, I go to working on something in a shop bay and it is in the way of something else I need, so I have to work fast to get it out of the way.

I sat on my rear most of the time..... also had a roller cart (ones that your suppose to lay on) to set on so i had something soft to set on!!... Im still sore though!!!

I can't believe those gloves don't have a grease zerk, seems like that's why it would have a groove. nice idea using a bolt and Jack mount stud as a puller.

Yea it worked pretty good but.... Torch ened up being alot less work!!!..... On my video (that isnt uploaded yet) that says the differance between a 1560 and a 1590 drill i explain why they didnt have grease zerks

  • @theairseedermechanic1816

They now have greaseless kits for both the press and closing joints that I've installed for over two years on many drills. I've put most in from Exapta Solutions but Needham ag has similar ones also.

Pre maintenance 👍🏻! Easier to fix at shop than in the field! Are they dry or can you grease them ?

Yes there is BUT it takes alot of acres to wear them out.... This is an 2001 and most of the bushings were pry originals.... But it sure does a good job
