Natural Farming - Live Questions & Answers on Kenya Projects / with Kutluhan Ozdemir

People in the natural farming movement had the opportunity to ask questions related to natural farming in general, to natural farming in Kenya, and specific requests about implementing natural farming in their own gardens. In this video, Kutluhan Ozdemir explores these different areas related to natural farming.
Natural farming is a whole new paradigma on how to grow food in harmony with nature, rooting in the soil awakening practice. It is based on Masanobu Fukuoka's philosophy and decennial farming experience.
Kutluhan Ozdemir has been doing natural farming for over 10 years. He travelled worldwide volunteering and working in different natural farms managed by Fukuoka's direct students. He now shares the experience and knowledge gained during natural farming workshops worldwide. When he is not travelling, he is farming at Shizen farm in Marche region, Italy.
In November 2022 Kutluhan and Rubina Varago travelled to Kenya to bring natural farming to the local communities.
This trip deeply touched both of them as well as the people of the natural farming movement in Europe, whom they were sharing what they saw with: famine, lack of water, poor to non-existent hygienic conditions...
AND: huge potential for people to grow their own food, interest and strong will to do so, availability of resources on site.
A crowdfunding was started to make even more vegetable gardens when they go back to Kenya - not only with local communities and farmers, but also with Maasai tribes. Over three weeks time, more than €8000 were gathered.
People involved in natural farming finally asked specific questions regarding their own practice/challenges with the method.
