It helps having multiple engines, he threw the starboard one in reverse and the port side one into forward and it’ll spin the boat like that.

Skilled handling! But what was the strange sound in the end of the clip?

Quad-prop boat. The two left motors push bow and the two right motors push stern…or vise versa. Makes for efficient (impressive) maneuverability.

Depends on how you set them but yes and how is nobody talking about the thrusters? This is easy to do on still water with bow or stern thrusters. I can crab my boat sideways into spaces. I'm unsure why not a lot of people know this?

You do know the boat has side thrusters yes? This is easy tbh as the water is barely moving.

Ikr even my bow thruster can get my boat to crab sideways into spaces using my motors to stretch the back end out in reverse

Yeah he was showing off and here in Scotland running your full bow over half of the deck of any cuddy or console boat will likely get your chin tweaked by the owners knuckle. Plus he had plenty of room behind that boat to turn where no boats were moored up. Yeah this wouldn't fly here, if you did get away with it it's because the right people never seen you do it.

Ikr. I had to do about 2.2 mile of cave water in the North Sea was about 20-30ft wide at most with the tide absolutely battering the rocks we done it in a 14ft mayland fisher boat with a 115 johnnyrude😂 slamming the thing into gear back and forth basically crabbing the entire cave route as it was swelling at beyond the already sea level swell. I'm not joking here the boat felt stationary sometimes and just moving up and down about 40-60ft while frantically rocking the stick to catch the swell and stop hitting the rocks. We were going from Scotland to the Faroe Islands on small competent boats as a bit of a challenge. The guys I was with had done it before a few times and admitted this time even they thought it was touch and go. Took us 6hr to do 2.2mile and that was just to get to a position that otherwise in good weather would have been about 1mile long around the rocks and a few mins or as fast as your boat could do it.
