Model Railways 00 Gauge: Emergency Fuel Supplies for the UK

Now this idea was Dave Howarth's (see his channel) so to show solidarity with the UK I thought I would quickly assemble a consist of petrol tankers to help you guys out ! As it turns out Australia only has 20 days of petrol in reserve and its supposed to be 90 ! How sad the situation generally has become here and in the UK both for reasons I don't have to spell out. To be born in Britain (and here) was to "win first prize in the lottery of life". Sadly that no longer applies IMO. Hope things improve for you all over there soon, take care.

Yeah, the Brits have been doing it tough and let’s hope it’s sorted soon! Another video of yours I enjoyed Stewart, and a great rake of wagons. One thing though, I’d be having a word to your yard foreman about no barrier vans between the loco and the first tank wagon, or before the guard’s van!! Stay safe and thanks for posting!👍🏻

Thanks for the comments Andrew, I'll have a chat to the yard foreman as requested although if he hasn't been double jabbed he'll be out of a job by October 15th !! Heard on the radio this morning about meat shortages going to happen here by Christmas all these thing by some strang coincidence happen on a world wide basis at the same time, all the best

Hi Stewart,
A very novel video and the seeing the Garratt running was the cherry on top so well done all you need to do now is find a YT'er in the UK who has the same loco's and rolling stock as you and get them to show the train arriving here (not me I have none of it) I will look forward to "seeing" it. I saw you had a big show yourself over there so its all good with our G.E.T.S. one here at the W/E which I had a good time at keep safe and well and it looks as though the world is coming to terms with this virus and opening up a bit which must be good news all-round.

Thanks for the shout Stuart , yes its the same world over I think , due to pandemic most ran stocks down , and then when a purge happens they just can not cope , its in all products these days no one wants to keep any stock , being dead money , but the days of quick delivery are getting less and less , they blame shortage of HGV drivers which there is , but the problem goes deeper , not enough staff in all departments , shortage of workers , and why ? too used to getting paid to do nothing !!...sorry getting off on my horse ...nice turn out with the fuel tankers though ...Dave
