Well he has a team that takes care of him so he will look good and perform well for a long time. He even has a guy who says bad news to people so he does not have to go around any negativity 🙂
What the hell, Sting now is 72 years old and he still can hold his notes as you can see at 3:48 for 12 seconds, playing his bass and moving over the stage... than returning to the chorus. F*** that is awesome!!
Is there a more ageless rock star than Sting? I get the feeling he'll still be making music at 100 years old. If the only price we have to pay is that he sings his songs a whole step down like he did here, that's a price I'll gladly pay.
I think he stopped aging back in 1996 or 1998. Certainly much better shape than Phil Collins as big of a fanboy as I am of Phil Collins' music, Sting is still in excellent performing condition
Yeah, and even his very first solo tour (Blue Turtles) had an amazing band: Kenny Kirkland, Omar Hakim, Daryl Jones, Branford Marsalis. Saw them a couple of times on that tour, and they sounded impeccable.
Saw him on the Dream Of the Blue Turtles tour. Was a Police fan from 1979 (when I was a little kid) but sadly never saw them live - didn’t have the spare hundreds to get a ticket for the reunion tour either! Hasn’t he got enough cash? Doing this sort of thing? But whatever, his voice is still incredible. And the songs, well my god - peerless from 79 - 86. Loved all the solo stuff until Soul Cages - a great time in my life. Whether it makes me sad or happy to see someone like this playing Vegas in a canary (in a coal mine) yellow suit, he got me into rock music as a little kid and he’s one of the originals
I got to see the Police and Sting many times.... Maybe it was just me... As many great drummers as he has played with, I just prefer the drumming of Stewart Copeland with Sting's voice.... But, I am sure mostly because I was such a huge Police fan...... Three Alpha musicians breaking new ground...... Wow were they exciting when they were just coming of age... Saw them in a bar with 15 or 20 other people on their first trip through the states... About a foot of snow on the ground and snowing hard ... They killed it like they were playing Madison Sq Garden... They were traveling in a Van and didn't take any advance money from the record company... Advice from Milles Copeland, Stewart's older brother and the band manager...
@@motorcaster57 wow you saw them during the legendary 1978 fall tour when they were completely unknown when Outlandos had just came out. That’s right before they blew up and became the world wide legends we know when to be now and before stings ego blew up haha
Indeed, he dropped it a tone down. So did he do with several other songs. Does it make his gigs worse? I don't think so. After all, Sting is also human, just like everybody else, and aging is normal for us humans.
It is like just yesterday I heard that incredible song for the first time. Same emotions, Same unexplained rush deliver of adrenaline to every cel in my body. I quote: "We are not alone, we are never alone" Don't ever believe you are. ... Loved the arrangement you are still the man Sting, you are still it. By the way, is that the same bass player?
I saw Police in Paris in 1979. One of the most striking rock concerts I ever saw in my life. So sad to see that Sting has become this middle of the road singer, for nostalgic white collars of the Midwest. But life goes on , the bills have to be paid and quite of lot money is made with this kind of audience.C'est la vie ...
I used to buy vinyl bootlegs of live Police from '78-'79. They were so good back then. So rad and loose. Was a little too young to see them live at that point, though.
dear lord, the shit you read online.... what an ignorant an pathetic comment... you have no idea of this artist's wealth, no clue about this event, and yet you come here stating that Sting ended up as a middle of the road singer... as if you actually knew him and his financial situation :D
This guy plays bass, sings perfect and pulls off a yellow suit. I can't even hold a conversation while tying my shoelaces.
😁😁😁😁
Yellow and black. Apparently why he is so called.
He is from Newcastle man ! That’s why.
And he’s in his 70s
Plus playing bass guitar and singing at the same time in not easy at all
He not only still sings amazingly, he still looks amazing as well!!!
He s from Newcastle! That’s why .
Best lookn lads in England.
Like myself👍

SUCH AMAZING ARTIST - CAN BE EVER REPLACED
Message in a bottle sounds awesome in the key of G. No matter if Sting went a key lower--he's still one of the GOATs
He's 71 but he probably could still sing it in the original key if he had to.
I dig Message in this key.

yes, manfred mann. 11 years older and still alive 👍
@@juergenubl8238 Mann looks great for his age, but I gotta give the edge to Sting. Maybe it's all the tantric sex 😉 .
Being rich and established by organic vegetables everyday helps
Still sounds good. Awesome stuff
"Still" ? Poor idiot
His voice still sounds great.
Shout out to the backing guys…drummer sounded sweet..🤠👌
One of my all time favorite musicians. Super talented, and yet a normal human being.
What a an performer @71 years, Sting still rocks!! And i hope @71 i look as good as Sting ;-). @57years old some years to go, w'll see.
One of the greatest rock star of all times...Age is just a number....
Don't forget Rod Stewart too. who is 89 years old and still on stage
This guy is like a good bottle of wine. He's getting better and better with time !
Sting es inmortal

es eterno
I wanna be like him when I grow up.
it's crazy😍
Sting was 70 years old when he performed this. Amazing :-O 😎
This is really amazing💪🏻🙏🏻 that yellow suit looks good on him. 😎 also that raspy sound in his voice is cool.
Sting is unique just as his p bass. ❤️
Sting is so well preserved that his bass looks older than he does.
wow wow wow oh ..... mY GOD UNBELIEVEABLE... Sting still look like 1980😱😱😱
My favorite😍
This guy never gets old... Steel man😂🤘🏻🤘🏻

neverending greatness!!
Him and his music does not grow old
Great moment, this song is amazing!
I’m so glad I made the 4 hour flight to Vegas and see this iconic man and his great band! His backup singers are amazing!
I saw him a couple of times during the *Soul Cages* tour. He had the best musicians I think I've ever heard play live.

Always been a fan of Sting's bass lines.
Sting e banda cada vez melhor.Parabens.

He sounds just as great as he did when I saw them in the eighties….Simply gifted….
Amazing, thanks! :)
The incredible Sting and his disappearing band!
Gorgeous drummer!

An absolute gangster of our time yo 🤘🏼
COOL
Que grandeeeeeeee!!!!!
I would love to see him!
He's a class act.
O cara não envelhece
I expect U2 to go this route in the next few years as well. Oh dear. I do love that old worn 50's Precision bass though.
i play bass like that with my thumb. not many people do. when i saw sting doing it, it was very cool
Wow! saw police x2 London 1981 Wembley Arena.. This guy is still on tip top form..🔆🖐️great band even without the incredible summers n Copeland
Total pro.
Nice clean drummer cool
Dropped it down a tone. Even Sting got old.
Ozzy was dropping a third back in 1974, his prime. : czcams.com/video/UogPgnYoJ0M/video.html Bowie used lower keys live all the time.
True, but he still sounds great and looks fit.
@@BassByTheBay yes! And I love him for never quitting. I'm gym rat myself :)

Ageless!
Well, for my ears his voice still good and in pitch...
It is tuned down a bunch of notes but yeah he’s good

Cute stage attire - the bee sting sending an sos. 😂.

Perfect timing and phrasing
Ding ding !
Well, he is a bassist. He need a good partner. 😉
💜🖤💜🌀🌪🌀
That bass sat on our wall for over a year. One day Dave Weiderman pulls it down and I ask him what’s up. Sting wants it.
Soon to appear at ‘Pontins’ Model Makers week !
Superb. I sent out my message in a bottle for a Police reunion.
They already done it in 2007 and 2008
@@Owen_plays_music1049 Very True. I sent my message in a bottle in 2009.

I wonder if he's still under some labels contract from his early days or he just loves doing this. Either way, massive respect Sting 💪🏻❤️👏🏻
Not anymore. Just loves that.
I wish I knew Sting was in Vegas.
I wish he'd stay there..............
My brithday 8/20 Etta. Scott .
John Constantine playng bass and singing. 👏👏👏👏
Fuckin Icon!
Time for a reunion.
Sting has got better with age.
Pipes still working good. Most of these old rocker vocals are shot at this age.
😄😁😉👍
This compared to the police reunion in 2007😂
It's a Vegas show/residency., with some showmanship. This performance is different from him touring the country live.
His voice was much stronger
then. Its finally gone.Stll stronger then current Rod Stewart though.
This is still exceptional
It’s a shame we never got to see Joe Strummer play Clash tunes on the Vegas stage with special guest star Celine Dion.
Yeah, Gordon really has sold his (arse) ole to the Devil with this crap.
Guess if you live long enough 🤣
Has it come to this? Has it really been this long? I guess it has.

I seem to remember Sting in the Police days, trashing the idea of growing old and ending up in Vegas.....Welp.
