Teddy Hart was the biggest waste of talent I've seen in the last 30 years. Austin Aries is up there but Teddy is miles ahead. He was the next great Hart, he could fly like Owen and strike like Bret. Together with Brian Pillman Jr, Harry Smith and Natalya, they could have been a wrecking crew across wrestling. No disrespect to Tyson Kidd, but Teddy would have been in Hart Dynasty from 09-10. Why did he have to be a complete loser?

What the fuck was he even mad over? He was champion for a good amount of time. He had a good amount of belts under his waist. They treated him like he was legit. He played a cocky and shit grinning heel and was leaving the company. He played a crybaby. All he had to do was sell the finisher of a babyface that had as much skill as him and put him over by not getting up immediately after. The flicking off was mean but at least he can go out looking like a heel and not like a complete shitbag.

I was always on Aries side. Mundo is a flash in the pan mid-carder and they bring him in and throw the strap on him first thing and shit on their own champion. Aries was promised things HE HAD FUCKING EARNED when he went back to impact but once iMpact signed Mundo and his fat girlfriend who waltzed right into the company like they owned the place (shoot owned the place, not a work) and wowed management those promises and plans for Aries were broken. It's simple. All because they had to put the belt on a past wwe champ who just walked into the company on their biggest ppv of the year. I would've been pissed too.

If Aries was as good as he says he is, or half as good as you think he is, he would have become world champion of the next place he walked into. I listened to the interview Aries did with CVV. His mindset was interesting to hear but it became obvious why he’s had issues everywhere he’s been. Basically every opinion he spoke of that he had pushed for in a company or the way he explained why he did something was always fully self-focused on whatever thing would be the best thing for himself. And of course looking out for yourself is to be expected in wrestling and you need to because nobody else is going to do it for you. So that aspect you can’t fully fault him for because that’s reasonable to try and do things that benefit you and your role.
But the key thing that causes the problems he’s had is that it’s always self focused. Through a two hour interview he basically never had an approach of why whatever idea he had or was pushing for benefitted everyone in his match or the company as a whole. The one or two times he even mentions things being better for the company’s business it immediately reverts and focuses on being best for himself and how it keeps him valueable going forward. And that is what the issue has always been I would bet.
Sure it’s one thing to present ideas that you think are better but it’s different when you present them as being better for everybody versus being better for yourself. It demonstrates that his attitude always focused on what was best for him and that he really didn’t care about if things were beneficial for the company or the person he was working with. Even if an idea would be better for everybody involved it’s clear that for him that would be a nice thing if it ends up happening versus something he was focused on being the case. And if you were managing a person like that I can see why you’d eventually tire of them being around and dealing with them on a regular basis. You can deal with people who push back on things because they’re focused on the company being better but when you can see that it’s all about them and that they only care about themselves eventually you’re going to get sick of putting up with that person.
When you hear his attitude about things you can start seeing where the issues likely were when dealing with him. At some level you can focus on yourself like top stars always have but if you aren’t explaining why you think it’s best for the business as a whole you’re going to eventually let that person go knowing they’re selfish.
