We're in Penang and I got to reconnect with an old riding friend who lives in the city. Adam & I go back to my first overseas riding trip to France and now I know why he's such a shredder.

Looks like a great trails. I like lots of roots, rocks, drops. It's like what we have in Hawaii, roots traversing the trails, wet clay slippery sections. Fun stuff. Dang you're riding without gloves? I'd be slipping off the bars without gloves
It's tough to ride without when it gets wet but i try ride without gloves as much as possible
Used to ride down this dh track weekly for 10 or so years. you did well considering its your first time on a enduro bike!

I'm going to penang end of next month for a few days and I'm hoping to do a few cycle trails while I'm in Malaysia.
May i ask if they rent out mountain bikes in penang?
I've been a cyclist all my life pretty much, but I haven't ridden any of the 1x drive trains or even any of the 27.5" bikes.
Stopped cycling for a decade or 2. Yeah I'm old haha.
But please, if there's any guidance to how i can rent a good hardtail or a full susp for a day or 2, I would so appreciate the info :)
Honestly, I've only done a cycle trail once when I lived in orlando, florida. So this will be my first cycle trail after catching up with cycling on youtube for a few years now.
