now now people...they have no idea how us oldies used to get down...but it seems it is the first thing you notice when watching the video...right music...wrong crowd...kinda odd how it switched to D'n'B/Jungle as i only seem to remember altern 8 being an old skool hardcore sound

At 55 years old now, I still remember how Altern8 was the most innovative and such a unique sound. The true sound of rave. I've been blessed to be a part of this movement from the beginning.

Even my neighbors love this set!

First part agreed, about windmills and obviously not able to dance no chance, whistles were/are feckin bullshit, no bs needed in my ear when setting the floor alight, also bin the MC ffs.

This is beautiful to see, after all these years Rave, oldskool hardcore in 2023. Altern8 one of the original pioneers of the hardcore scene, playing banger after banger. Their's a lot of people there who wasn't even born when Rave exploded, but it's great to see them enjoying it and having a blast. Big ups Altarn8, Coventry Midlands crew was definitely where it's at back in the day. Man Parris, Bang-in Tunes, eclipse, the edge. Oh yeahhh 🙏🏼👊🏻🎶🎶🎵🎵🇬🇧
The Eclipse was the best club in the country if you ask me and I went to shelleys and the Haciender but these were far from pioneers,they were pop stars .I saw them in shelleys car park with the other 10,000 people that claimed they were there,and I certainly wouldn't call charley a banger when it ruined the rave scene.

However, the best thing about Charlie was the B side - Your Love, a total killer track.

I'm 41 years old. I was just a bit on the young side to go to the raves. But I had two older brothers who were the right age and I was 10 years old growing up listening to all the tape packs !!!

I remember the days when the early promos of altern 8 were flying off the shelves lucky enough to work in a vinyl shop from 1989 to 1995 saw all the rave classics go in my box lol

Belter set! I saw Altern8 this year at Lindisfarne Festival and Mark played a cracking set, I even met him and wife and he let me wear his Altern8 long coat for a photo 👍🔥

I liked it for about 10 minutes BITD.
All these tunes are rinsed to death. I still DJ now aged 54, did a 3 hour set today, but I would never play rinsed anthems, I heard them too many times. Thousands of other amazing tunes to play without hammering the same old tired shyte.

I can't play these anthems anymore though, heard them too many times, rinsed to death.
Thankfully there are tens of thousands of other tunes to play which haven't been done to death.
So much love for these guys, and the era they hail from. Takes me way back with a big smile. 😊
