    I love my F900R. Have about 1,000 miles. The quickshifter is getting smoother between first and second, sometimes I have to do a double take that I wasn't going from second to third (it has always been butter second and above). Still sometimes does not start immediately when cold, it takes two or three starts. The service manager at the dealership says this is a problem with a lot of newer 270-interval firing order twin cylinders and has the same thing with Triumphs they service that are designed this way and have the same characteristic. He didn't think it would resolve itself with more miles.

    Nice to hear an honest review of the bike, as with anything, there will always be downsides no matter how much you might love it. I agree with most your points. I’m a tall guy so the lean angle and weight combo isn’t an issue for me, though like you, I DO wonder at times how much more fun the bike could be if it were lighter. Definitely going to swap out the battery and exhaust down the road to save some weight. But ya, I agree that despite the weight and relatively lower power output compared to the competition, the bike certainly gets up and moves, particularly in those tight twisties where I think the broad torque band and fun handling really shines 😁 Totally in the same boat with ya in not finding too many options for aftermarket parts ugh! That’s gotta be one of the better things of owning a bike is being able to truly customize and making it your own.

    Great video, all of your videos kinda convinced me on geting mine ! I just got it last week in black (2022 model), i came from a CF moto 300ss so honnestly i did not really notice that the quickshifter wasn't that smooth because i came from a cheaper bike with no quickshifter or no options such as the ones on a BMW so i only saw how faster and how nice it felt not using the clutch all thre time compared to my first bike and i've never tried other quickshifters so that might be the reason why.
    For the weight, like i said i come from a very light bike (333 pounds), and i was expecting heavier of course but i was scared of it being a little too heavy and after trying it i didn't think it was too much considering there is plenty of power and i really don't feel the weight riding it.
    I aslo think it's very confortable because my previous bike was a sportbike position. But honnestly, if these littles things don't bother you too much i highly recommend it.
    I was aslo looking for some mods and i think that since you posted your video there have been big improvements because i'm not having any problems finding pretty much everything i need for the bike, so for anyone looking to get one i highly recommend it. If you started on a smaller bike just like me and you wanna upgrade without going on something a lot more expensive or too sporty like a s1000r etc i think it's one of the best options for you. Really in love with mine so far.

    Yup! I'm quite short and noticed rt away in the showroom that the kick stand angle meant some extra heft was required. (I'm curious if they use the same kickstand on the lowered suspension model and opted for a length that would work for both).
    At least you didn't complain about the seat! :) That thang is a bit of a brick after a couple hrs. Not a big deal since I only go out for a couple hrs typically. LUV the bike overall. Visiting the gas station too frequently.

Everything else about it is excellent, build quality, handling, stability, features like cruise control, heated grips and lots more + amazing TFT, 3 year warranty & 3 year roadside assistance - run out of gas, get a flat, lose your key, all included, no additional cost.

    Omg... I was actually looking for other opinions on how heavy the bike feels when you pick it up and there you are.

    Whilst it’s a great bike on the back roads in the UK my main gripe is the handlebars vibrations at 60 mph and the horrendous wing mirror vibrations at 70 mph. I’ve tried bar end weights, grip puppies and have ordered gel gloves from USA. BMW says there’s nothing wrong with it but no one else seems to complain of vibrations. My seat has after 1700 miles nicely softened. Am awaiting panniers which have been delayed which is frustrating as I’m off to Scotland. I think the vibrations will mean I won’t keep this bike long

    Watching your videos when you first got that bike confirmed me to get it right after. I have the same package as you and don’t get me wrong. I love it! Bike is very nimble!✊🏽
    - Agree to disagree on it leaning too much and being heavy to get it straight to ride. 😅
    - I do agree with the quick shifter being rough for the 1st and 2nd gear. Although, it is different when you full throttle switch from 1st to 2nd feels more smooth).
    - Yes! I have the Cardo and for a moment I thought it was the Cardo! After I noticed it’s my bike. I used to reset all Bluetooth connections and re connect. What I found on what could help is try turning on your bike first and let the screen load and then turn on the senna or Cardo. Make sure your bike is Actually running. Not just screen mode. See if that helps!
    - I do wish they come out with after market accessories. I do notice a lot more are out compared to being 3 months ago though.
    Conclusion, love the bike and no regrets! Stay safe and enjoy it!

    Leans over too far? That's a pretty nit-picky thing to gripe about. Leaning makes it more stable and secure when parked. Standing up too vertical is unsettling, especially if the wheel isn't placed perfectly. We have a showroom of these and other bikes and it doesn't lean over any more extreme than the other Ducs, BMWs or Hondas, nor does it take any more effort (if you're used to riding motorcycles) to stand up than any other bike of this type.
    Now the Bluetooth issue? Spot on with that! It sucks ass and needs to be fixed. #1 complaint amongst BMW TFT bike owners. They've released updates..., still sucks. Works great..., When it works.

    • @PetroHead
      @PetroHead Před 3 lety

      It’s cost cutting design work man.. they have a 30 inch seat with shorter suspension so to save money, they equipped the taller / normal size one with same kickstand. It’s an inconvenience and keeps reminding me of how heavy the bike is.

    • @QuincyPoaches
      @QuincyPoaches Před 3 lety

      The suspension option isn't that much lower and the lower seat is irrelevant as you don't "sit" on the bike when you prop it from the stand.
      Mine isn't heavier to lift than any other bike and I work at a dealer and ride multiple makes and models (literally) for a living. It's not an issue worth griping about unless you are unfairly comparing it to another class/type of bike; CB300R and G310R for example. You're reaching.
      Now, your Bluetooth gripe? True. Mine don't work for shit half the time.
