the last 2 minutes are just gold 26:00
lmao, apparently idk how to render
@Jimmy Broadbent happens to the best of us.
Also to those, not being also a racing driver ;)
Oh yeah-
2 mins silence for the rear bumper
You did well either way, Jimmy Doorbent.
Jimmy Bentboot
is this a reference to the bent door during the NLS race?
Man, wow...Those graphics are amazing! Very lifelike gameplay right there, I tells ya what!
Even includes incessant Jimmer mumbling commentary! Damn, these AAA companies skip NO expense, ZERO.
Too bad he plays with a keyboard.
It could be faster with a government.
I wish they would update these graphics to VR or at least triples... This can't be too immersive
raytraicing is the standard here
@Michael Naydeck surely the 4090 helps with immersion enough to cover it that
believe it or not, this is an Indie developer!!
I'm Sorry. Even though the car did not see me and "pushed me out", I did have enough time to hit the brakes. I misjudged the situation. Also too much Touristenfahrten driving made me forgot how to flash others out of "respect".
You guys did the best you can, I have offically become a fanboy
It wasn’t on you at all Misha, you did amazing and everything you could have, it’s racing I guess and super unfortunate): absolutely gutted for you. But we’re all glad you’re okay and you got straight back in that car 💪💪 ❤️ love you
Respect for saying sorry, but I think you did well enough. As a team you all had good pace, the car worked well, and this was only the first big event. It's only going to get better from here, I think you three have a good chance of getting on the podium soon!
It's not your fault he came across on you mate, don't blame you in the slightest!
@Jimmy Broadbentfirst like love the c9ntent bro can't wait for more and more real life racing
The German commentators during the 12 hours called you “James Broadbent” multiple times and it didn’t register with me for a long time that they meant you. Keep up the great work.
Well, Jimmy is the “Dick” of “Richard” but then James
@Karel P.I never looked at Jimmy that way and I'll never look at him the same way.
the english language phenomenon of not only making nicknames that don't at all look like their source names but also then using said nicknames like they were regular names will never not throw me off
Jimmer sounding like a wedding DJ whilst trying to talk us round the nordschliefe. Making what is a very fast and difficult circuit look straightforward is no mean feat.
Misha is keeping his 100% of own cars crashed streak spot on!
So, the question, that moves us all: Will Minty get a Bilstein suspension now?
So freaking proud of you Jimmer! You guys did amazing! Thanks so much for all the smiles you've brought me and many others over the years. You may have not finished first in the race, but you'll always be first in our hearts! Enjoy it, you've earned it.
That POV reminds me when I was 5 and dad let me sit behind the steering wheel.
Almost brings me to tears seeing you on the actual Nürburgring in an actual racing car. So happy for you, Jimmy.
I honestly cant say Ive been waiting for this moment for the last five years because I could never have imagined this happening back then. What a crazy roller coaster its been!
I was there as well incase you remember, the younger guy being with you at the start of the race, waiting for the cars to finally pass by and it was so nice having a talk with you, someone who plays a role in me finding my way into irl motorsport. Showing how you can go from sim to irl! Lovely to now see the video to this day!!
I started following Jimmy _Broadcast_ because of Assetto Corsa and look where he got to.
Congratulations Jimmy 🎉🎉
This is the greatest thing ever. It really doesn't seem quite real hearing you narrate your own lap at pace in a race around the Nordschleife irl. So good
Hey, just want to say that the in-car commentary is really good. Such an insight to how you and the car are feeling in the moment. Hope you can continue this for the N24!
Well, this video explains the dimples I saw on the rear of the Bilstein car in Steve's video. Glad it wasn't too serious and everyone was okay. Keep livin the dream!
Who would’ve thought that a silly British boi who would play GT3 from his trusty shed would end up racing everywhere, now including the Nürburgring?
Seriously, though. I’m so glad I subscribed during those shed days to see this transformation happen; it’s a huge source of inspiration and motivation. ❤
so proud of jimmy and everything he has accomplished
I am so frick frackin proud of you Jimmer! From the shed to the ring. it's amazing to see your achievements and enjoy your experiences vicariously like this. I'm so damn excited for what the future holds and I can't wait to see more! LUBBERS!
Onboard commentary is going be awesome moving forward! Good job jimmy
The helmet POV and in-car commentary is incredible, I can't wait for more of it. If we could get it live one day that would be something else...
I'm so glad you had time to take stock on the "in lap" it really was amazing to come along for the ride. Enjoy every moment. It's been a real blast.
Jimmy doing his commentary, like in the good old days on the sim
Congrats Jimmy! All the best for the future and be grateful for what you live, without stop trying for the best.
Glad to see you're in a happy place, doing the thing you always dreamed of which is real racing.
That's kinda funny that years ago before all this stuff you, Steve and Misha were (and still are) the main guys i used to watch about racing. Couldn't be happier to see you guys where you are right now! Cheers and good luck next week!
I am so looking forward to next years 24H race! You and Micha are probably my biggest influences to take up virtual lapping on the ring and trying to get into the 'sub 7 club'. I really hope you all get along quite well and have a lot of fun with this.
When I think about the videos that marked a 'low' on this channel, like the mental health struggles it is super good to see that dreams are followed regardless of such issues and dreams actually can come true.
Great experience Jimmy. A handful of years ago you were throwing sim-cars around that circuit with regularity.. and here you are man, doing it in the real world. Kudos.
Amazing footage, amazing video, love to see good things happen to good people, you've earned this and you're doing awesome Jimmy. Keep it all up!
Goosebumps watching he outro, so effin proud of you and how far you've come jimmer. Fan since pre real driver days and so stoked for you ❤
He's living the dream of his, of us, of this community. We are proud of you jimmer!
Sorry to see that the other car didnt see you guys and forced a situation that didnt need to be there, but all in all looks like a good weekend! glad to see your getting more comfortable with the track and car!!! good luck to you and the team on this up coming epic adventure!
Even after a small knock this car looks so fun to drive! Absolutely loving the irl racing content since day one, but seeing you guys do this on the Ring is special to watch!
Also that Merc is sexy af.
If the audio cannot be fixed, at least Jimmy has a bright future as a train announcer at Waterloo.
Man... I was just thinking the other day that a collab with you and Misha would be dope af. Only 2 minutes in and I know its gonna be good!
To think about all of us while driving the nordschleife… you deserve it jimmy thank you :)
Amazing seeing you guys race! So Jimmy is out there talking to him self while driving😂 Those sim racing habits won't go away easily. You need a chat screen in the car!
That chincam view gives such a perspective of the speed, it looks incredible!
I smiled like a little kid after Jimmer waved back while being pushed back into the garage just prior to Saturday's race.
awesome job at the Nurburgring 12hr. You guys done a fantastic job for your 1st race. 5th place in class and 48th overall. Hope to see you guys in the 24hr next year.
20:58 getting those plugs in there, you're turning into a real racer!
Living the dream and allowing others to dream too. Great job.
glad misha's little spin wasn't anything bad and both he and the car are alright. honestly his days on the track during open driving probably saved him there
Cool to see them make the Nurburgring into a real track
Been with you since the days of the shed and no idea of IRL racing. I'm freaking out seeing you out there Jimmer, and it better give you as much happiness as your videos have done for me over the years. Go get 'em man
It has been a pleasure and an inspiration to watch... 22:50 Thank you Jimmer!!
Great stuff, Jimmer. Just loving these videos. Stay safe whatever you do.
you guys will do well at the real race. you have real talent as does steve and of course misha is a legend. so no pressure but go and make some wicked content
Proud of you Brimmy Joadbent! The dream is alive, come along way from the super shed years!
Fantastic to see the 3 of you living out the dream. Will be following you Steve and Misha all the way.
Loved the helmet cam, and enjoying seeing how your skill and abilities are increasing all the time
Stay wholesome Jimmy. We love you like this 🙌🙌🙌
Great to see you living your dream. Can't wait to see the video of this past weekend's NLS
Good on ya Jimmer! It must feel surreal but you put the effort in and earned it. One day I will do a lap on the Nurburgring, alas on a touristfarhen but I will get there one day!
been so excited for this video! good job jimmer and the rest of the team for persevering through the weekend :)
this looks 100x more hectic than any sim lap!
oh my gosh a race where Jimmy commentates it like his classic Nords videos would be pure gold
First race I watched from start to finish in ages. I am very happy for you guys and I feel like you all did a great job. There were some sick overtakes and laptimes in this. Well done
Jimmy your progress trough RLR is amazing.
It's strange BUT.
I'm so glad it's Misha that binned it. I someone was to do it, i prefer it was him. Our guys would feel so bad and lose so much confidence if they were the one crashing
Yeah I agree it's good that Misha is taking the hits for the team. He has the muscles for it after all lol.
Yeah, I'm glad that misha is the one that crashing a lot and being the most experienced driver
So stoked to see you driving that car! Shame about that incident during Misha's stint, but shit happens and yall kept going round. Glad it wasn't worse.
Looking forward to the video on the 12hr!!!
Fantastic mate...so proud of you!
Jimmer casually doing live commentary as if he was popping to the shops
This race may not have gone ideally. But it's just one of many. And every one of them is a learning experience. I'm so glad you've got this opportunity and that you can share it with Annie, Misha and Steve. Who knows where this will go from here: SP10s, maybe eve SP9s? The sky is the limit. And I live to see this!
This is a nice new concept for Racing Sim Stewards, really deep diving into one incident and get in the mind of the driver! I like it! And this new sim looks insane! the graphics are really next level.
damn, i got too emotional... Dreams do come true! Congrats jimmy
From rock bottom to the top ❤ you're a role model. And I'm so fucking happy for you.
It's great to see how you have developed through these last few years 😁 I gotta say tho I do miss the Lil shack a bit 😂
Henlo Jimmy, great racing there :)
So, I was wondering, if is not too much to ask, could you show more of the behind the scenes 🥺? Things like, how do you get to the pits the first time, or how the car gets there, the first outlap, the registration process if there is one. I dont know if I'm alone in this, but i would like to know how is to be a part of that world. If you think that it brings value to the video (and is not too much work) i would really appreciate it. Me and all of the likers in this comment :D (narrator: nobody liked)
Good luck and wishing lots of fun to all of you!
Please keep doing what ur doing ❤
Car looks like a gem to drive, so planted and composed.
Proud of you Jimmer. I remember watching you years ago. You even had a vole run into your shed which scared the hell out of you. Boy done good.
So glad 4 you to done it! You guys deserve it! Enjoy!!
Excellent stuff mate. Keep it up, cant wait for the footage from the 12 hour race. Is there some night driving in it ?
Loved the commentary, keep it up Jimmy. Love the content :)
Can we just camp out for a sec on the transition at 9:50 from track footage to Voiceover Jimmy. Expert filmmaker stuff.
Amazing stuff Jimmy. So happy for you
Crazy that this funny lad started in his parents’ shed…
Loved seeing the POV footage!
you livin the dream and that's well deserved. :)
thank you very much for sharing, enjoyed watching it
That effing knob came over like some sim racing newb. My sympathies to you, Misha, and all involved! ❤
this makes me really riled up and want to drive that track!!
So awesome ! Great job Jimmer .
We love you jimmers. you've never done us wrong.
I watched a good chunk of the NLS6/7 live streams and the drama that went down so I'm frickin hyped to see the in-car. I don't know why it didn't occur to me that there would be live Jimmer commentary but of course there is - talking while racing is your superpower!
this is not footage from the 12h race though
@Dornogol yeah I know. I should have been clearer: I am looking forward to seeing that footage - especially from when Steve SENT one into Mutkurve (spoiler)
Poor Misha, having a rough patch atm... dealing with people randomly moving around & not checking mirrors an area simracing *can* help, at least from my very minor experience :p hope he's not trying to live up to some self-imposed standard as "the expert". Great to see you having fun there.
Watched last weekend live, congrats on Sunday ( and Saturday until spoilers )! Misha did a video about "what is RCN" some years ago, I think given the questions in livestream you might want to do something explaining the intricacies of VLN ( stint & average stint lengths, pitstop times, code 60s and how much time you can lose & how you can't pick a fastest driver based on that, what equipment the circuit has for live video feed, etc ). I know there's a lot out there already but you're apparently bringing a new audience to the series.
That helmet cam will be mint when the angle is right. Even as is it was fantastic footage. Well done.
I love that Jimmer Cam is basically just the dash😂
Next series; racing real cars around nurburgring that you did in sim and compare lap times to see how accurate the sim is.
Great video, good to see project 'Ring BMW going well. Nobody wins without testing.
I´m absolute no Mercedes Fan, but seing this old 190E evo made me smile. Right where this high reving Masterpiece of engineering belongs, on a Racetrack. I would have wished for an M3 e30 DTM to accompany him. Also, nice Driving, Jimmy. You know, you travel this journey and take all of us, all watchers, patreons and members with you. Its a Pleasure that you have all of us while chasing and fulfilling your Dreams.
Misha using the old Bailey strat of damaging the car to have the fastest lap! 😉
In some corners you got the rear wheel loaded like freaking F1 driver!
You all did so amazing, was an honour and a pleasure to get to watch our bois out there on track !
Great video Jimmy, so glad you were able to take part & get a good feel for the car on circuit before you had to do the 2 x 6 hour races.
The only thing I was really disappointed about is that YOU KEPT IGNORING THE REBEL TREE !!!
Not ONCE did I see you wave to it as you went by & it's been such a friend to you over the years !!
Damn, that must have been fun :) Best of luck for next week. Can't wait to watch that one... =O
Great footage and i'm so happy for you, that you are able to live that dream on the Green Hell!
"The marshals are very strict about the Code 60s. Gotta watch that speed!"
_Places camera directly in front of speedometer for the whole stint._
Such a classic Jimmer moment to try and talk in a helmet over a loud race car. Either way, living the dream, mate, for all of us fellow nerds. Having followed your journey for a few years I am very proud of what you have accomplished.
