- ►Founded in 1864, Royal north Devon is the oldest golf course in England and is regarded as the St. Andrews of Golf in England. On a recent trip to Devon I stop off and explore this amazing piece of land.
The characteristics of a course this old have been maintained and the nature surrounding the golf course is spectacular... it's a good job... because the golf is not!!

Played Royal North Devon last October in sideways rain and 45mph winds .Gave up in the 10th whilst 22 over par 😆

@@rhull3939 I don't like to talk about it cos it's still very tauumatic. What's worse is the unprovoked attack was due to my act of kindness, sharing my chocolate raisins with the dumb animal. When they were all gone I put the bag back inside my coat but the donkey couldn't deal with it, and in a mad, frenzied bid for more food bit on my tender young chest and nipple. Ran crying to my mum as you do and had to go to Macclesfield general for a tetanus!
