maybe it's just me but I have always found the fact that Maccho built his style around ground moves and wide leg swings despite being such a tall guy impressive.
I met Hozin. I went to his classes. Super humble and hardworking guy. This is just my theory, but assuming he’s close with Maccho (or at least mutual respect as fellow poppers), I think he purposely gave the win to Maccho to build him up.
Just look at his semi-finals in this same event. He absolutely killed with his signature speed control, footwork and musicality. He didn’t really do that here when he definitely can.
Hozin’s already won a lot and has all the recognition; he doesn’t need the win this to prove anything. But Maccho is still building up his rep globally (at least not to the level of Hozin), so I wouldn’t be surprised if doing this for Maccho was his intentions. If it really was, mad respect to him.

Macho is dancing!! That's why dancing is more important than any other crap. Ofc, he is also flowing with the music but if you have been popping regularly for about 7 or 8 years, you should be able to flow fluidly. What matters more after that is, can you dance?? and macho did that here. Look at Nelson now, he is killing it because he dances now. A lot of people are deaf to the funk or the feel even if they have danced for a long time.
I do not have that many experiences where I felt that hozin's dancing was "cool" for too long. I do not know what he is trying to express, it just feels messy and hectic. I am not trying to judge or anything, just saying that I dont buy Hozin's dance anymore. I wanna see him popping not doing some weird hiphop moves.
